★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was awesome Mark and Jane were amazing hosts home away from home lovely comfortable beds we had a double room dinner was lovely lots of salads and so much we couldn't eat it all breakfast was beautiful pancakes homemade bread and fruit salad this was the highlight of our three day walk on the Abel Tasman if you need accommodation on the walk you won't be disappointed cheers guys it was great!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most amazing place I stayed at during my three weeks in New Zealand. A boat hostel with amazing views of the bay and a delicious diner and breakfast prepared. Then you can go for a swim. Amazing.

Anchorage Bay is gorgeous, Mark and Jane are wonderful hosts, the food is outstanding (we usually go a bit hungry as vegetarians, but not here!), and the bunks were comfy. Also, jumping off the roof was so fun!
One thing to note: it is a boat, so there is not much headroom above the bunks or inside in general. My husband is 6'4" and had to really watch his head. I would not book the double bunk as a couple unless you are both under 5'5". Fortunately there was a spare bunk so we were both happy and able to sleep. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After having walked over 57km of the Abel Tasman Coastal Trek, arriving here was *such* a relief. Picked up from the beach with a dinghy and welcomed with a hot cup of coffee was fantastic. Going for a swim to soak off three days of grime and getting a hot shower before a bountiful dinner was excellent. We slept like babies in a real bed on a boat that rocked slowly at night. And then wake up to the smell of fresh pancakes and fresh fruit yogurt for a final day of hiking. Just... perfect. Thanks!!??
