★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What is advertised on through "snaptravel" isn't an accurate portrayal of the listing. The images are of a house on private property adjacent to the accommodation.
The "cabins" are small, modern trailers without bathrooms or running water. The "queen sized" bed is a double. This would be perfect for a low maintenance traveler who enjoys humble lodging.
After my review the staff stopped in to offer us a studio with a bathroom (for a reasonable upcharge). While we declined although we did appreciate the kindness.
The close proximity to the Abel Tasman trailhead is quite special. We had a pokey around the serene estuary at the start of the journey and walked down to Porters Beach to enjoy views across the peninsula. Then were treated to a surprisingly starry early evening sky on the walk back on a warm spring evening. While the cabins weren't what I was expecting, the setting is lovely and the staff did attempt to correct the misunderstanding.
