★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So beautiful! After a hot hour long walk you'll be ready to jump into the cool water. Make sure you have a go on the natural rock water slide. It's best to go as early as possible as it gets busy very quickly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trail is not difficult but it is long, the kilometers of the signposts of the trail do not correspond to the calculations of google maps, add a kilometer in your plans if you are using Google maps, start early so you’ll not to return in the dark ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 2½ hour return walk from Anchorage hut (including time at the pool). Some steep bits but our youngest managed it OK. The actual pool is a scramble across rocks from where the track seems to just finish. Water temperature is freezing! Watch out for the local weka who will pick through any backpacks left unattended. Beautiful spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A natural waterslide in the Abel Tasman National Park. Fun to do but watch the pool at the immediate bottom of the slide. Very turbulent and risky for young children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best spots on the hike, highly recommend. I went here during winter, but I can imago e how awesome this place would be in winter. Short 10min detour from main track.
You do need to hop across rocks to get to the pool, so be careful on your footing, or take shoes off and wake across to avoid the possibility of slipping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful natural pools icy cold but super refreshing. Don't test the water just jump straight in, makes it soo much better. A natural waterslide is made underneath the mini waterfall at the front which is super fun just be careful at the end to turn into the pool a bit more. If you climb up onto the second level there's a decent spot to jump from into a pool behind. Also if you're explorative there's a lot to see further upstream behind the waterfall including more falls and a few cool rock formations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome natural water slide, with beautiful views all the way there. The water was super cold, but oh so worth it. The hike isn't super difficult, but goes up and down quite a bit. I bet this place is even more amazing in the summer. We spent about an hour here, just enjoying it. Worth the walk!
