★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perhaps all banks have gone downhill in recent years.
Because, after 40+ years, Westpac (originally Bank of NSW) Customer Service at Botany has deteriorated so much I set about looking for another Bank. First try was ASB. After calling at the bank they told me I would need to phone for an appointment in order to open an account.
I waited for such a long time without being able to get through on the phone that I emailed them. I did receive a reply after 2 days.
I was told they would ask Botany to contact me with an appointment.
That was in February this year. It is now June and I have still not heard.
Looks as though Banks don't need or want our business anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of many ASB branches, the Botany branch seems to always be flooded with customers where wait times usually average 30-60 minutes per visit. There are only three ATMs in this branch, and six manned kiosks. I had much unneeded visits to this branch due to staff mishandling some documents but they were always quite helpful. I hope they can improve on their services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greeted by a rude Indian lady that would not let me go inside the bank with my son and husband. Terrible service. Horrible worker. There was a lovely lady outside with the que of waiting people but mabey keep the other worker in the back of the bank from now on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I too have been with the ASB for 50 years. They need to reopen the local branches they have closed. Was waiting at Botany outside for 40 mins then inside foe 10 mins getting nowhere just to get a new eftpos card. I gave up and left. The tellers have always been slow but this was ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Priority service??? Really???
I waited for 30 minutes since there were lots of elders that came after me but went before I did. I asked the security about why other people were going before me but he said that there is “priority service” for 9-10 am. I don’t know why ASB bothers to have customers socially distanced since the security let bunch of elders in all at once. This elder without a mask was sent in before me as well. Do you not care about the safety of other customers? I would understand if priority service let a elder in after customers in the main lane and take turns. I had to wait for my turn since all the elders were piling at once. I don’t even want to give one star for this review. The worst customer service I had in my entire life! Thanks for making my day ASB and their security guard! :))

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though I have been an ASB customer for 25+ years, I was required to attend the Botany Branch today to prove I am a person for anti money laundering purposes. Also to prove my address even though I have lived at the same address for 35 years. A 20min wait outside, was followed by a 10min wait inside in one queue, then I was moved to another queue for 5 mins as the teller couldn't action the AML details. Finally got to someone who could sort it out, but took a long time to do so. In total, I was at ASB for 61 minutes to do something which (if in fact it was even necessary) should have been able to be done on-line or over the phone. I did first try the ASB ID app, but that kept on crashing at step 3 - totally useless bit of software! Very disappointed with ASB

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Earlier on this morning i experienced the most worst customer services i have ever experienced from ASB i was disappointed how my inquiry was handled i was put off by the way customer services treated my call and it was handled. training was not well provided for the services not given to the public eye.
lucky when i called back the second time MO who i dealt with was very focus and kind to help me with my inquiry and understood my situation i do very much Thank MO for his kind and focus customer care i appreciate his professional customer services the way he handled the account..
very happy with the outcome. this second time around.
