★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely Hopeless customer service. Couldn’t even tell me about their business account as apparently they had no consultant appointments available although one was sitting at her desk doing sfa. Would have been better off calling the call centre

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bank WAS the most outstanding bank in past years.
Quick phone pick up, helpful customer oriented staff, management listened, reasonable charges. TSB was number 1. Over recent times, bit by bit, almost everyone of the above has disappeared. There are often waiting for phone to be picked up, charges have escalated, internet banking has problems from time to time (we could no longer access all our accounts, only some of them) in other words, it is no longer much different from other banks. Very poor interest rates are offered for investments, which wipes out any benefit that may still be in place. It is commendable that New Plymouth benefits from TSB donations but it is not TSB who is providing it, it is the customers via the lesser than anywhere else interest rates.
Further, the number of branches has been cut and there are no branches anywhere near us. I know banks will cease to use cheques, but that hasn’t happened yet and this means having to post cheques in to be deposited, at a cost and time wasting.
Customers reacted. TSB is no longer no 1. (Heartland is) They are doing what TSB USED to do. TSB no point in sending out surveys – you havent listened to your customers for a while now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service from Botany staff when I needed some financial help, they were kind, understanding and very willing to support my request. TSB is a great bank and well ahead of others in customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star is as low as you can go but TSB doesn't even reach that mark in my experience. I attempted four times through online application and phone calls to open an account. Yes that's right a new customer. And got sweet FA. I am the type of customer they want and they couldn't be bothered. Avoid. Don't waste your time like I did

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was onto it with customer service and solving queries. But not anymore. The Asian guy at the Botany branch wants you out fast with one word answers. The staff don’t listen properly to your queries. When it comes to home loans is like you must have almost everything then we can talk. If I had everything, will I come for a loan??? Time to change. Thought support a local bank. But there’s no power in them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have found TSB to be poor for daily banking. Only 4 branches and about 5 ATM Machines in a city of 1.6million people. My local branches of BNZ and ASB each have as many ATM machines in my suburb as TSB has in the whole of this city. TSB's competitors also have branches in most suburbs in the malls and shopping centers. My "local" TSB branch, as they describe it (5 suburbs and a 30minute drive away), keep changing their hours. I drive 30 minutes to Botany during regular weekend shopping hours and they are often closed. Never open on a Sunday. Not their fault apparently but due to the changing covid conditions. ASB in the same mall is open 7 days a week with longer standard hours that work for their customers. I guess ASB has cured covid. I will start banking with ASB and pick up some Ivermectin while I'm there. TSB's new Credit/Debit Master card takes up to 4 days to process ATM transactions. They said it was the fault of all the other banks but they wont invest in more of their own ATM Machines. I am thinking TSB plays on the image of "we are the little guy battling the big corporations" and does not produce the goods. Cushy hours for the staff, low investment and effort to cover the customers needs, nice people with excuses in the call centers but good advertising campaigns, slogans and gimmicks; good ole kiwi banking as it used to be.
