★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent doctors.. the best i have been to !! very patient and caring staff. and always keep to appointment times. TOo bad that since i moved to christchurch a year ago, i have struggled to find a good doctor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree very money focused but I suppose that's because they are in Remuera. The biggest problem with this office you can never use the online appointment site as the drs are never available or are booked for two or more weeks. I suppose I have to tell my body to be sick or have a problem in the future. Then they charge $22.00 for a repeat prescriptionjust for a Dr to put his pen to paper rediculous. I once had good things to say but not anymore. It's a pity Tony left as he was always available and good to deal with

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I call to book an appointment I can always see my GP within a few days. Sometimes they are running late but it is due to the quality of service and probably a lot of things that are out of their control. The GP's are excellent, they listen to you and put you at ease immediately. Would highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very excellent doctors, Nice, helpful and proficient receptionists (a rare find) and a comfortable waiting room. Wait times can be long (like absolutely every other doctors office on earth) but once in you are never rushed through - quite the opposite - very thorough caring doctors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this practice. They don’t care about their patients at all and are too money focused - and seeing all the other previous reviews, there is a theme here.
They billed a missed appointment when I had a legitimate reason and responded through email of the reasons. What is the point of writing ‘If there has been an error please give us a call’ when the receptionists don't even have an answer to that and they don't even respond back to the emails. They only send through a reminder invoices which is a joke.
As a health care provider AFMC should really reconsider their business approach.
Definitely will be looking elsewhere and telling friends and people looking for a new doctors to not waste their time here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to be a patient here and then changed GPs due to a few reasons.
The Pros: Lovely reception team, well organized and helpful. Waiting rooms and patient rooms are always tidy.
The Cons: Dr Tony Chiu was my original Dr who I signed up with, he was lovely and very easy to deal with, I would've happily stayed if he was still there. My new Dr Rebecca refused to give me repeat prescriptions. This meant that I had to make a brand new booking every time at $50 (or whatever the rate was) just to get the same prescription that I've had for years. To put this in perspective, my now Dr (at a different clinic) does not waste my time/money on this and will review it every 6 monthly or annually. It was weird because I felt that Dr R did not trust me which is a little awkward, despite me being on this for a very long time. I understand that not all people get along well in this world, but when you a providing a health service, this needs to be overlooked.
Someone below mentioned that this clinic is very money orientated. I completely agree. I understand that this is a commercial world, but there is a balance between doing the right thing vs taking advantage of a situation.
*edit: I meant Dr Tony Chiu not Howard. He was my original Dr who was great!

I’ve been here for almost a year now and they’re always efficient when it comes to updating and letting me know what I need to do. Dr Wei Long is amazing and I’d highly recommend her expertise because she cares about you and makes sure you always know the next step
