★ ★ ★ ★ ★ REFUSED REFUND with RUDE communication after TERRIBLE screen replacement.
Bought a phone advertised as being replaced with a new screen and backing for a good price and with a 30-day warranty on Trademe from the company/representative. As a student with little money this was a big purchase for me and the 30-day warranty was the selling point.
Straight away after receiving the phone, the newly replaced screen way noticeably ajar, being poorly replaced (possibly why sold by individual on Trademe rather than by the company).
Later there were also problems with GPSlocation and phone signal.
Being well with-in the 30 day warranty period (11 days, 30th May to 10th June) I politely emailed the seller asking for a refund with return of the phone.
This was met with outright rude and unprofessional replies such as "are you joking?" and then a refusal of refund.
There was a response of "30 days is WARRANTY not use it for 2 weeks", I believe the reason that a 30 day warranty is for that period of time is because time is needed to work with a product to see if it is functioning in all aspects.
In the time frame before
As I mentioned I had to leave overseas for a month straight afterward and was unable to do anything in the time frame before I left as i did not have time to mess around trying to get them to replace it in a different city, nor did I want to given the hostile correspondence, constant fighting back and the state of the first screen replacement.
So now I have a phone which has dust/crumbs all through the front camera deeming it unusable and a unreliable GPS.

But the quality of repair wasn’t worth the cost 120.00 and we still have to pay 200 to have the screen fixed properly it still has glue on it like it’s been done by a teenager or something. The total cost incurred is 320.00 so we’ve wasted 120.00 getting this repair done with this business.
My thoughts, if you can’t do it right the first time don’t offer to do it at all. Don’t pretend you can do it if you can’t. There was some conjecture when we asked whether you could fix it but you gave my mother reassurance that it could be done and then afterwards you said “it’s the best you can do”??? How does that help us.
I wouldn’t recommend based on that.
