★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jess is awesome. I managed to get a last minute appt after a bit of a hair disaster from another salon the day before. Jess took the time to listen and then took so much care to achieve a result that I love. I am so appreciate of her skill and care. All of the stylists are friendly and the salon has a lovely, calm vibe. I will definitely be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having had to have my hair redone at another salon to rectify the mess I was left with, it baffles me just how wrong Sammy got my hair despite giving both hairdressers the same instructions and showing them the same Inspo pics. I do however appreciate Sharon giving me a call-back and explanation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After three appointments at Balayage in 12 months i can say that this is truly the most exceptional salon in the city. All staff provide the absolute highest level of skill and professionalism and i’m blown away every time. I’ve seen both Sammy and Jess and I will never go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disappointed in the service provided, I requested a full head of foils to push the blonde to the roots. However they informed me that they did not have enough time allocated for the service requested (and paid for) even though they understood before my arrival that my hair was dark and had a lot if regrowth because of the lockdown). They Informed me that I would have to come back at a later date to complete the service. Even though I was disappointed I was compassionate and allowed them to make this decision because no other options were presented to me. It would make more sense that my service was paid in full at my first appointment however I had to pay a further amount totalling to $750 for medium short hair. The brightness of blonde was not present and they did not cancel out any of the darkness. They tried to tell me it was due to the health of my hair and that it was my fault the hairdresser went over time to attend to me instead of her other clients. Don’t book me in if you were aware of the time not being available for the request/service I’ve asked for, you should have asked me to reschedule the appointment or I could have found a different hair colourist who would have done the service correctly. Do not recommend this salon, they put the blame on the client and charge a ridiculous price for no obvious result. If your hair is dark/Polynesian hair don’t expect to be looked after. I have an amazing hairdresser who did an incredible job on my hair to give me a bright blonde result but she is based in Auckland, she is expensive but worth every dollar and would go back to her in a heart beat if I could. The money isn’t the issue but it was their terrible communication, lack of accountability and the end result was not what I requested. I am incredibly disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had balayage done by Jess and while it looked really good from the front, I had noticed that the colour was slightly uneven around the back and the sides. so I contacted the salon and they booked me in the following week to get it fixed.
I just want to say that I appreciate the effort of getting me back in within a few days considering how busy you are, and my hair turned out perfect. Excellent customer service, thank you Jess and the Balayage team! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the most amazing hair experience at Balayage* this evening. Gorgeous salon, fitted to perfection with soft colour tones that make you instantly feel relaxed and welcome. Vienna, my stylist was impeccable, pure talent who listened and interpreted my loose ideas into something special. Am delighted with my cut and colour, soft hues and warm tones which Vienna worked so much magic into. Already counting down the days until my next appointment! Thank you so so much! ?♥️
