★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tidy and clean...good location for stopover...walking distance to several restaurants and bars... KFC... MD.... Subway... Asian..bakeries and beaches...all just 10 minutes walking....bus to the city stops outside....value .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here in 2017. Its a bit of a hike into town, but has advantages being away from the CBD too. Rooms need modernising but all facilities work, and very sunny. Decent rates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter and I stayed at the Balmoral Motel 20 January 2017. We found it to be spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was a good location for exploring the local beach area and just a short drive into Nelson itself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hubby stayed 5 nights with our son. Fantastic location, great pool, clean rooms. Tanya, staff on duty, was very helpful, friendly and always had time for them. Highly recommend.

The apartment was spotless, they have everything you need, bathroom with shower, kitchenette with microwave, full size oven, full fridge with tiny freezer compartment. 15 minute amble from/to the beach, supermarket/store just down the road. Brilliantly located, family run, friendly welcome. The only thing is the sun was on the apartment all day and does not have air con.....however fans are available. To state the obvious, yes accommodation is dated but you will not find any dust anywhere, absolutely immaculate.
