Good service, funny robot waiter. Very futuristic and reminds me of japan and china.
I had the dumplings. Not much but tased great.
The J6 which was a chicken dish tasted amazing, prices are worth the experience. Id go again

β β β β β I really enjoyed this place. I went with my partner on a Friday evening and we didn't have a booking and still they were really nice and accommodating. Great food, friendly staff, comfy seats, yummy food and reasonable prices, what else could you ask for?

β β β β β The food has improved since last time I was there, it was quite yummy this time around, and the automated waiter robot was silly but cool, the kids thought it was fun, don't think the robot thought the kids were fun though.
The human service was poor though, we had our order taken promptly which was great, the food came out with not to bad of a delay but then it went down hill, table was never cleared so we had to clear it ourselves and then a waiter dropped a glass which exploded and they never said sorry about that or said "hey guys this could be dangerous be careful." Could be a good idea to get lots of robots.

Nice mocktails had Lychee smash and Bamboo honey delight.
Service actually pretty dismal, no meal checks or warm positive vibes.
Think this needs to be seriously addressed if you want to portray yourselves on a higher end scale of hospitality in Marlborough
Had Prawn and pork dumpling and approached the counter and queried if there was a mistake as no prawn inside, apparently its blended together but wasn't going to argue the fact prawn non existent.
Also had Duck spring rolls, Chu chee Blue cod, Cantonese style half roast duck & Pad si ew.
Food was OK but really no wow factor & after spending $99 on food for two, shouldn't really leave feeling hungry.We regularly go out & dine once a week & usually frequent same establishment's, sadly won't be back for some time.

β β β β β Reliably good and well presented food from an extensive Asian focussed menu. Comfortable ambience. Interesting to see a robotic assistant for the carrying of large table orders.

β β β β β Very nice staffs hosting the very well decorated restaurant supplying Chinese, Korean and Japanese cuisines. Dishes are beautiful and delicious. Further more, there is a very cute robot to help deliver food, attracting everyone's attention and making the dining experience full of fun.

β β β β β Really disappointing takeaway. We have always loved bamboo garden and ordered many times. The food has always been great and generous. Ordered a takeaway tonight and not sure if they have a new chef or just cutting costs but the quality and quantity has dropped significantly. We ordered medium combination fried rice which has almost halved in size and the gung pao chicken was swimming in liquid with hardly any chicken. Pictures show clearly. Such a shame and food definitely not worth the nearly $60 we spent. Won't be ordering again.

β β β β β My favourite place to have Chinese, Thai food. My favourite is green curry and Angry dish. Lunch menu is bit cheaper than dinner. Staff is very friendly. Addition to the staffing, they have a robot that delivers the food. Toilet facilities are clean and the restaurant is also clean. I have been here few times and I have enjoyed my meals. Ambience can be challenging. We would hear other diners conversation...lol. But all good. There is lot of parking on the side of the Restaurant and even along the road. Reservations can help you secure a place but we went without any reservations. During Covid time, vaccine pass was required. They were doing their best to ensure their diners are safe. The also have a dessert and wine menu. You will definitely enjoy Bamboo Garden.
