We have experienced veterinarian and staff that are equipped to handle any urgent care your pet needs. Usually, an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and nurses working together to save a pet's life. To allow our team to take decisive action, they have diagnostic equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound and blood analysers,which would enable for near-instant diagnostic results. Emergencies can be things such a rat poisoning, hit by a car, seizures, bleeding, chocolate ingestion, etc. If you feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible, it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency and be prepared when you arrive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Asked for a $1500 up front deposit, even charged us an arm & leg for them to walk outside and give a quote just by ''looking'' at 1 wound. Told us the surgery for that type of wound would be $3000-$4000. Went to our local vet in the morning and spent $600 on surgery and medication.
Feel sorry for anyone who has to use this rip off facility in a life/death situation for their fur babies. Totally disgusted and will not be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had to take Kylie our 13 year old Labradoodle to see a vet on Easter Sunday. The vet we saw, Georgia, was wonderful, she didn’t sugar coat anything but gave us her honest opinion on what we could do that might help. Unfortunately for us after a night of tlc Kylie was no better, Georgia told us what we could do if we wanted to, but also what she would do if it was up to her. She took us through all the blood tests and explained each one in turn, and what they meant for Kylie.
We took the painful decision to end Kylie’s suffering and put her to sleep. Georgia gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and then let us stay for as long as we needed after Kylie was gone. I cannot fault the service or the compassion and empathy at such a hard time for us.

We waited more than3 hours for our dog to be seen.Was admitted overnight but they demanded an upfront deposit of $600.
Was released next day then our dog deterioted,
We took to another vet an he stayed overnight.
Senior vet said the drugs administered by Bay After Hours caused the secondary problem.
Bay After Hours did not follow up after his discharge

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This team saved my dog's life when my local vet didn't have the facilities. They know what they are doing and provided around the clock care on the queens birthday weekend. Cost heaps of money but they were upfront about the costs we were facing and what they were doing for her step by step. I'm forever grateful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So, so happy with the service our dog Ziggy received here, he was in considerable pain over a holiday weekend, he was assessed quickly, given immediate pain relief and admitted overnight. Georgia was upfront about the costs, the possible causes of his pain, likely treatment and potential outcomes. I felt he was in safe hands with a team who knew what they were doing. They also transferred notes back to our usual vet in Rotorua for his ongoing care. Considering the time we were there and the care, monitoring and attention they showed Ziggy I do not think their costs were unreasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing care & kindness shown to our beautiful fur baby. We wouldn’t still have her if it hadn’t been for Georgia promptly diagnosing Coco’s Addisonian crisis. We had been to other vets who kept misdiagnosing her. She was literally on deaths door by the time she was seen and expertly treated by Georgia. She has her ups and downs and now 3 months post diagnosis she has been treated (again expertly ) by Maria. I cannot fault any of the care and treatment Coco has received by these caring Vets and nurses.
