★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good staff; helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms clean, excellent location, spa-pool, and affordable price!
The kitchen is quite nice but there was strong smell of burning plastic a few times when others were cooking. My partner also mentioned that the pans are all scratched and burnt so she didn't end up using them. However depending on your standards this might be fine! The microwaves were pretty clean so we used those.
Biggest downside for me was the bed mattress. It was way too soft which made it hard to sleep the first night.
There was also loud partying on the Saturday night, with people outside on the road yelling and singing off-and-on from midnight until around 3am.
The walls let a fair amount of sound through from other rooms, which could have been an issue, but thankfully the other guests were pretty quiet after 10pm.
Although we didn't end up using it, they also have a cozy communal space with TV and board games.
Enjoyed sitting in the spa-pool before bed looking at the stars.
Overall a good experience and reasonably priced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The matress was really bad, it had a dip in the middle to the left that made it hard to sleep and caused me backache. Also it is not nice to find srrands of hair on what is supposed to be a fresh bed. It cost too much for the low quality. My son asked if we could get our money back and sleep in the car for the second night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great price, with very accessible location to town center (roughly 7-10mins walk). It could do with better insulation from sound, can hear people snoring next door ? - but for the price, it's all good, could just buy earplugs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far, the best hostel in Queenstown! Lived there for a while and it is like home for me.. wonderful staff, free dinner on Thursdays, all facilities very good and clean. Definitely recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, great location, but found toe nail clippings on the carpet of our room eek. No one was wearing masks! Even before they had seen people vaccine passes, staff weren't wearing one at all. Bathrooms were clean but had a really weird layout, only one of the female toilets had a lock and neither of the showers had doors, mens toilets were better apparently. There's a supposed "quiet time" after 9pm, but that was never enforced, people banging around in the kitchen at all hours, screaming kids at all hours too. Pretty sure we had the cheapest room (shared a wall with the family room AND the kitchen), so you get what you pay for I guess!
