β β β β β Bought a number of items for a birthday party including foil balloons which were around $10 each. The balloons began leaking within minutes of being inflated and were flat and pathetic looking within 3 hours. I inflated them for birthday breakfast and they didn't even last until we got home from playgroup. I contacted the store unhappy about this and they said they'd talk to their supplier, but when I said that I wanted a refund they went completely silent and I've not heard anything from them about the refund, but have received unsolicited marketing emails hocking more product.

β β β β β Refund policy is a joke. I bought some items and went to return them 5 minutes after purchasing as realised I had doubled up on things but all they could offer was a store credit. This was not communicated when purchasing the products. I was not provided any advice or customer service, not even a βhelloβ when entering, or asked if I need any help. When I spoke to the manager on the phone, after saying I was an unhappy customer, she accused me of threatening her which was definitely not the case at all. It says on their website that change of mind refund applies within 1 hour of purchasing online, but this doesnβt apply in store βto protect the employeeβs jobsβ. I will not be returning nor will I recommend this store to anyone!

Once swapped, my order was shipped that afternoon and I received my order the very next morning! Will definitely use Build a Birthday in the future.

Her service was top notch, she was super knowledgeable about the products and services I needed and was very chill when I had a million different questions.

β β β β β Very impressed! We ordered a cake topper for delivery, but unfortunately NZ Couriers let them down and didn't deliver in time (5 days). We called, and within a couple of hours, on a Friday night, Jess from Build a Birthday personally delivered a replacement! Amazing service βββββ
