★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has got to be one of the best restaurants in Auckland in terms of service & food quality. We were served by Kaya- who went above and beyond for us and kept the restaurant open till quite late for us :) The chef and other staff were all warm and smily as well- never had any hospitality be so good to customers that go in as late as I did!!
The food reminded me of authentic Italian food. We ordered the lasagna and the fettuccine alfredo, both of which were absolutely delectable. The real star was our Pizza bread appetizer with the cheese and olive oil dip- do try this if you're visiting!
Overall, this was a great evening and I will be visiting again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hadn't been into Buon Venuti since 1992 when I lived in Browns Bay, and while the ownership has changed hands, and they've remodeled a little, the food was "FANTASTIC", just like it always was. Very attentive young lad serving us provided top notch service. Do yourself a favour and try it, you won't be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SUPER SATISFYING! My favourite pizzeria since - I have been coming here since I was a child, on and off for the last 40 years! The current Chef does the original Italian owner justice, creating dishes that will leave you wanting more! Very friendly team and cosy rustic ambience. The most delicious pizza and pasta in Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After reading mostly good reviews we went to Buon Venuti with very high expectations and a lot of excitement. Unfortunately we were welcomed with a lot of confusion and uncertainties. The lasagne was re-heated and some of the pasta was still frozen in the centre. My risotto was watered down and tasteless, assuming frozen seafood was used. And My risotto rice resembled couscous rather than rice. Very disappointed. Our first and last visit.☹️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know what restaurant some of these 5 star reviews went to but we had a similar experience to others. The food was actually awful. Tough steak, the "roast" veges were boiled and soggy with one lone piece of broccoli.
The chicken came with canned apricot and was tasteless. Bottle of wine comes in a bucket of water with a few ice cubes floating in it. Place is cramped and cold. Very uninviting.
Left hungry, unsatisfied and annoyed. 0/10 do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my wife came through the other day for a take away meal. I was told 20 minutes for the order which was great. 40 minutes later we got the food.
I order the tortellini which has to be the most bland food I have ever eaten i my life. It was just unseasoned chicken and a watery “cream” sauce. . My wife ordered the cannelloni which again was very bland and had oil all on the top layer of the “ sauce”
I paid $52 for what has to be the worst Italian food. I even heard them using a microwave in the kitchen so not sure how “fresh the ingredients can be” so sad
