β β β β β Oi Manawa : Christchurch earthquake memorial is a deserving architecture along the banks of the Avon river. In honour of those lost during the quake, the curved marble wall has their names carved into it. Serene, contemplative, sorrowful in its beauty. This walk along the Avon won't take much of your time, but will remain quite timeless in your mind.

β β β β β I lost someone incredibly close to me in the 2011 earthquakes, and I am very happy with the memorial. I don't often go there as a lot of very painful memories tend to resurface when I do, but I am very pleased with how it is presented and maintained.

β β β β β I was here for the 11 year anniversary it was such a beautiful visit to listen bells been rung I come here every year to pay my respects to those who loss there lives in the earthquake I remember that day like it was yesterday it was sad to see so many names of 185 people. Anthony
