★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had delicious dinner outdoors at Carnegie’s. The roast lamb was tender and tasty. The lamb and blueberry pizza was delicious. The service was authentic and friendly. We had to wait a while for our food to arrive but it was worth the wait. Nice eclectic modern decor inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate at Carnegies almost a year ago whilst on a roadie and came back this year because we loved the service ,food,and value for money so much . We were not disappointed.......... The portions are generous, the staff are lovely, service is timely and food delicious what more is there to say . It's usually very busy which speaks for itself .I also recommend the Shaky Bridge pinot noir ......delish

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the worst customer service I’ve ever had. When ordering a burger and fries we asked to clarify if the fries were included in the price and were told they were. So we ordered a beef and cheese burger with fries. We were charged $2.50 for the cheese on the cheese burger as an “extra”, as well as for a side of fries. When questioning this the manager was very rude and told us that yes, her staff made a mistake in advising us but the menu clearly states the price of a “side” of fries and that makes it our mistake for not realising that they were not included with the burger. She begrudgingly refunded the money for the cheese and that was only after arguing that a cheese burger should automatically come with cheese. Would never go back there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Micro roadie, going where the road takes us. Tonight it is Fairlie, on Good Friday. One restaurant open, in a delightful old library. The thing is I'm vegan & when I politely enquired, could you ask the kitchen if they could do anything vegan, I got a slap down NO. & an unapologetic we do meat here & use flour. I don't have a problem with flour because I'm not gluten free. But people confuse the two. Anyway, when you're with a friend, who isn't vegan, you make do. I got a bowl of fries. So disappointed at the brutal service. The up shot of this review, if you're vegan, don't go. You won't be treated with an ounce of respect. I would have chosen no stars for this review, but you have to at least select one.
