★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second time in this restaurant. First time a little disappointed and second time was better. Biggest negative for me was not a relaxed atmosphere. Restaurant was not that busy but the staff were in a hurry. I think the owner/ manager just needs to think about how this can spoil dinner for someone who is trying to relax and enjoy the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic, friendly and tasty restaurant in central Whakatane. We had a lovely meal of ceviche, empanadas, fish tacos and tortilla chips, from the really varied menu. Really friendly staff and affordable too.
We'd definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a small road trip to Whakatane and decided to have dinner in town. I'm from the states originally. Florida was always my fave holiday spot and they have a lot of Cuban Restaurants there. So I was truly excited when I saw Little Havana!! OMG it did not disappoint!!! The atmosphere, the employees, the drinks and the food. It was just absolutely amazing. I'm from the south and we have a saying..."Slap yo momma good!!". It was beyond that!! We will definitely be back and probably quite a bit actually. Just I can't even....just so GOOD!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent!! Amazing food, made with fresh local ingredients, creating delicious Cuban / Latin plates of happiness. Even though they were short staffed and dealing with red alert restrictions the owner was super friendly and helpful. Appreciated the child friendly service and 'free ice cream'. The Castro cigar dessert is genius. Great finish to our week in the region.
