★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful meal. We were squeezed in before a booking for 7pm. Plenty of time to eat. It looks like it is very popular as lots of large tables booked. Food was amazing and well presented.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent degustation last night. Romel, the chef, and his team produced gorgeous food for a packed house, all deftly delivered by the front-of-house staff. Logistics and flavors all top-notch and the pairing with the Volcanic Hills wines was great.

Food was served fast.
Large portions. Absolutely massive. Could probably share a main meal with 3 healthy eating adults.
If they were cooked well then would be great value for money.
Polenta chips were spot on. Cooked well, served fast and tasted good.
Kumara rosti was good. Good flavour and crispy.
One of the cheapest restaurant meals I have had recently.
Easy parking.
Nice location next to the water.
Was easy to book a table last minute.
The bad:
Fish and Chips...The fish itself was cooked but the batter and chips were not crispy and infact a lighle soggy(maybe the soggy fish made the chips soggy).
The Lemon and thyme chicken... Chicken was in my opinion overcooked. The thinner edges of the chicken were dry and the thicker portions borderline well done.
The Service.
Mixed... Some wait staff were really good, another was borderline rude. She walked away whilst finishing her sentence. This was extremely hard to hear especially due to the masks being worn for covid. Maybe this was efficient as she was genuinely placing our order as quickly as possible. Maybe just pausing for a moment would get the messages across. On another occasion after filling my partners water and walking behind her, asked if she wanted another drink from the bar, to which she didn't hear.
Staff were not as attentive as I am used to and had to wave them down for a drink refill.
One of the more senior wait staff who was more observant cleared our plates asked if we wanted a take home box for the left over food to which I accepted. We left the fish, and took the chicken, but later decided the chicken was better fed to the wildlife.
No body asked how our meals were either during the meal or as we paid. Normally this is a good opportunity to receive feedback.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family had a lovely lunch here. You get great portions and the food was delicious - would especially recommend the pork belly! The service was also fantastic - friendly waiters with a good sense of humour. Would definitely come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely wonderful dining experience. First and most importantly for me was thorough check of vaccine passes and good air flow throughout restaurant.
The staff are excellent, very efficient and friendly. The on duty manager was a touch of class and his cocktails were amazing.
The menu has enough choices without being overwhelming and the food was utterly delicious.
We can't wait to return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had battered prawns and scallops for entree, the baked salmon, the angus eye fillet wrapped in bacon, and it all tasted amazing! I usually eat desert but I was so full I couldn't eat any more. A nice high end restaurant with great service. All the staff were friendly and helpful, even our toddler was well taken care of with her food and drink, and colouring in menu. We definitely recommend for great food and great service

The food here is amazing, the drinks are amazing and the people are amazing.
The man, who I think is the owner, is lovely and very nice.
I do think the drinks I had, non alcoholic beverages, were too sweet. However, they were still amazingly lovely. I had the fish and chip meal, the fish batter was crispy and soft which was amazing. I think adding tomato sauce and an extra lemon slice would make the meal better.
The two people who I came with had pork belly and steak, they gave good feed back and said their meals were lovely also.
My only negative comment is about the bathroom, I think it needs to be cleaned more often, such as the floors. The baby changing table is cloth, I think they should change this to plastic.
Overall, lovely experience and lovely food. Definitely recommend to anyone wondering if this place is good.
