Carwebs began like many great kiwi businesses, with some bloke having a crack at ‘doing it himself’. That’s exactly what Carwebs founder Ash Dann did back in 1991 when it came time to upgrade the family sedan.
Ash was lucky enough to know someone in Japan who introduced him to all the right people. By going straight to the source in Japan and importing the car direct, Ash bagged himself a bargain. It was such a bargain in fact when his mates found out, they all wanted one too, and Ash was keen to help them out. 25 years and thousands of cars later, Carwebs.co.nz has honed the process and is still really just a way of helping people out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ crap, wont ever call or email you details about cars you are interested in, it seems like they don't want to make money? Don't waste your time calling these fools as 9 times out of 10 you will speak to some cranky sounding lady who doesn't know crap about cars and is not helpful at all.
