β β β β β Sold my van in 15 minutes! Great advise from the gentleman owner. There were about 40 sellers and lots of backpackers/buyers there, real buyers. It's a small fair and it works! Thanks a lot.

β β β β β We got our car here. While there were several good options of vehicles and campervans the problem was the onsite mechanic, Paul Rall from GSR Automotive. He was incompetent. A week after we had the van and we realized all the oil was leaking out rapidly, we went to a real mechanic and found out that Paul Rall completely missed a preexisting leaking head gasket in his inspection. He inspected and "tuned up" the van twice, before and after we bought it, and he did not notice a large oil leak either time. The coolant also had a leak and the oxygen sensor wasn't working. All big problems he missed. We paid him over $300 for his service which was completely useless. Please DO NOT let Paul Rall look at your car. Ideally you would take it offsite before purchase and it to a dealership that sells your type of vehicle.

β β β β β We were there to sale our cars on 25th November 2017, found out thereβs a group Eastern Europeans and middle easterners (4-5) try to buy from us in low prices and sell the cars for higher. They are similar as the pest on side. Had a kind of relationship with site managers. Occupied the best spots, make a living right there. Iβm sure those people lingering around car fair around Auckland . We left before 10:30am. Witnesses a young couple zoomed by those dodge dealers. They sold the couple a 7 seats black car for $6000 , it was actually $3000. If you want buy a car , you have to be careful, do your due diligence.

β β β β β My first ever experience of a car fair! I arrived thinking there were not enough people BUT, I sold the car! And letβs remember itβs just the beginning of the season. Iβm very happy I went and Amir had knowledge and was a friendly host.

β β β β β Came here on April 20, there were about 40 vehicles, mostly campervans and then a number of camper cars and wagons. We used the fair as more of a place to show our wagon to several people that we had been communicating with via Facebook Marketplace. We ended up selling to a couple that had seen the vehicle online then came to view it. There were very, very few buyers and a handful of dealers as well, but they didn't seem too interested in most of the vehicles there. So, we came away happy but I believe at around 12pm we might have had the only sale of the day so far...

β β β β β Went to sell a campervan for friends. Plenty of interested people and made quick sale. Very pleased. Small fair but was busier than the fair I went to on Sunday. Glad I gave this one a try and will come back next time.

β β β β β I bought and sold my van at the Auckland City Car Fair. Both times, it was a really straightforward process. The selection isn't as big as the Ellerslie car fair, but there seems to be only people selling their own cars/vans, not dealers trying to make a buck. As a seller, I sold the van within the first hour of arriving at the lot. To be fair, the couple had seen my post on facebook and were expecting to see me there, but it was still really nice not losing a whole morning. The guy who runs it was really helpful with the transaction, producing the necessary documents and walking us through where we would need to go to officiate the transfer (sorry for walking off with your pen). It cost $30 to put up the van for sale, but the actual sale is free, and there's no cost for buyers (aside from the cost of the car, of course).

β β β β β Big parking lot where people sell their cars or campervan. Plenty of choice if you want to have a look around as a buyer. As a seller you really have to be lucky, the right buyer is there. I sold my car within two hours!
