★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always love coming here for the gelato and freakshakes, which always taste amazing. You may need to park a little bit of a distance away and walk as parking isn't exactly plentiful, but this isn't too much of a burden

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little Gelato shop. Seating available, didn't notice any restroom. Chose pistachio Gelato, not the best Gelato I've had, still good. They offer sample tasting before you buy ?. Friendly service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On visiting Casa Del Gelato today my partner and I ordered two ice-creams (one in a tub the other in a cone) my ice cream was lovely however the blueberry yogi gelato tasted as if the yoghurt had gone off and there appeared to be globules of fat of some description - not the best experience by any means. Service was also unexpectedly indifferent. We will not be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time of many in the future. Cozy small ice cream shop, with a creative variety of flavors, from normal chocolate to feijoa one. Coffee and tea is also available. Open late and close late too. Only 3 tables inside, meaning that you get it and go out. Didn’t see a toilet inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would be nice to put a board saying that tastings are limited to only 2 as it was quite embarrassing being denied the third tasting after I did not like the first two flavours. I did not end up buying the icecream given the attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't think what is sold here can be classed as gelato. It tasted sour, as though it had expired. We tried pistachio, chocolate, cookies and cream, snickers, bacio, tiramasu. All were as bad as the next. So disappointed as the location is so convenient to our new home and we were hoping to come here often. Never again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time coming here as I don’t usually go to ponsonby. The gelato was super nice and was surprisingly not too powerful when it came to the sweetness. The cups and cones are reasonably priced and the taste will explain itself~ I wouldn’t mind coming back to try the other varieties ?
