★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve only been twice to this place, the new design is interesting however the chicken on my tacos was old and dry, hard to chew, no flavour, the hot tots were yummy, the eco packaging is great!
I went back to try the hot tots and was told they didn’t have them and when I asked for churros i was asked how many…? The menu doesn’t say how many… weird? anyways i was served reheated old fried churros and they were a oily…. I opted for the chips instead of the hot tots and they were below average too… i just wana say I’m a bit upset about my takeaway decision and i would much rather book a flight to mexico instead

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered three takeaway burrito bowls and they were very disappointing. After some initial confusion with the pricing on the menu I proceeded with the order. The bowls were bland , chicken luke warm and no real flavour. Would need some serious convincing to come back again

Not the same old Mexicali but food is still great. We miss the old restaurants where we can see the fillings etc in front of us and our food being prepared right in front of us.

The first time I ordered from here really put me off because the tacos shells were stale and the chicken was dry… But the couple times I’ve recently ordered, it’s been great. To the owners, please keep the quality high. It’s a great location in Mt Eden, but if your quality drops again, then customers will check out real quick.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was blah ... I asked for a chicken and lime quesadilla and it felt like eating a bland pulled breast chicken within 2 tortillas with no flavour at all. At least the girl on the counter was friendly.
