β β β β β I purchased a gift to be delivered to my brother who lives in Oamaru. The parcel arrived at the Oamaru Castle location and did NOT move for 12 days. After numerous attempts (by myself and the shipper) to contact Castle and see what was taking so long, we learned that they are REFUSING to ship the parcel to the final destination. They have given no reasoning, and the destination is only 8km from their location.
I have never dealt with, or heard of anyone dealing with a company that is so unprofessional they refuse complete their responsibility- which was paid for.
I would never use Castle again. 2 big thumbs down.

β β β β β Took a week to ship a product from Auckland to Christchurch. Courier driver didn't deliver the first time because the courier refused to walk into the ground floor of the building I work in to enquire about what company it was being delivered to. No communication, just an update on the tracking link If I hadn't been following it who knows how many more days it would have been delayed as it was 'waiting for instructions from customer' - yet no notification (or card to call) other than the website. This confusion happens a lot in my building and every other courier company at least comes in an asks, at worst gives a phone call to enquire. Will be requesting companies avoid this company at all costs.
The one redeeming factor about this experience is that the person I called at their offices, Kelsey I believe, was polite and professional and organised for the package to be re-delivered rather than me having to go out to the depot on the other side of town.

β β β β β Without exception Castle Parcels has to be the worst courier service in NZ. I receive several parcels every week and every parcel that has ever come by Castle has either been lost, delayed, damaged or just dumped in the letter box on the street.

β β β β β Delivered and signed for parcel to wrong address. Contacted them about this and it mysteriously appeared at my door within a couple hours without any explanation or apology.

β β β β β SIXTEEN days for a 2 day delivery from Christchurch to Auckland. Even allowing for current delays that's absolutely hopeless. Poor inadequate response to enquiry. And the parcel was left in the hot sun when finally delivered.

β β β β β I purchased an expensive item online and upon receiving confirmation that it had been shipped I could see that it was a signature required delivery - was pleased as I was out of town. Imagine my surprise when I got home to find it had been sitting on my deck exposed to the elements for 3 days and the courier had signed for it himself. Didnβt even bother to move it 1metre to the left where it would have been protected from the weather. Terrible service, Iβd rate zero stars if it would let me.

β β β β β I don't normally bother with reviews especially for a company I've had a good run from in 4 years ish since i moved to use you guys you have lost 3 parcels actually lost 2 and delivered one to who knows where and signed for it but all that aside that didn't bother me until on the 9th of February i went to buy my normal a months ish worth of tickets I'd spent $1270 with you in December so a bit not a big account probably to you but big enough to me well no you didn't want to sell me them in cash like you always do you sold me $340 odd worth at a push and said i needed to make an account, no worries I'll do that since then i have chased this every week trying to get that sorted someones always going to call me and never does well today they called me back only to tell me that the end of February was the cut off and they no longer accept new accounts for bags or tickets though luck thanks alot for that so I'm left with about $450 odd of scrap tickets RZ and RD and told tough you can still use them if you find some main tickets otherwise there no good to you. I may be only a small job but $6788 was what i spent with you in 2021 and you just decided that its not worth it to you anymore. Thanks
