★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been going to this cafe for almost a year. The food is great, Kathy the owner is very welcoming and the coffee comes with a chocolate fish. Yum. Its the best cafe in the mount, Papamoa area.
Really good.
May 2022. Our recent experience was totally different.
My wife who was on a very srtict diet asked for a side of avocado for breakfast and was refused. Some friends also went on 3 occassions and paid cash and 3 times were not given any change. The excuse on the third time was "we dont use cash anymore".
Neither our friends or ourselves are going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute little cafe in a great spot. Sadly the food wasn't that great. Advertised as cheese stuffed French toast. Could hardly find the cheese or taste it. Was not stuffed at all like advertised. Also most of the French toast was over cooked and crunchy as you can see in the photo. Quite disappointing ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a pleasure to come to this cafe, situated on the ship's deck in the mount is an inside outside venue with the glass wall that opens out to the tables on the decking. Always always gorgeous coffee and other refreshing drinks and wonderful selection of delectable eats.
Fantastic staff just make this an awesome establishment to wyle away some time.?merry xmas guys

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this cafe and have had breakfast many times here over the last 2/3 years after I discovered them, the food is absolutely delicious and as you can see from my photo I had a rosti stack which was nicely put together with a big toothpick holder. Even just the eggs on toast are tasty. There is a nice outdoor deck area but if you want warmth and a nice read of magazines or the Sunday paper it is cosy and warm inside. The staff here are always warm and friendly and they do great coffees! Highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well the "Smashed Avocado" dish was the best I have ever had. I'm slightly gutted by this because it means that for all these years I have not had it as good from all the other cafes that I frequent!! ?. They have set my new standard ?. Coffee was great and I'm in denial about the custard filled cronut (if I don't write about how good it was then I won't want another one and the calories won't count either.) Great indoor & outdoor seating too. I could fully relax since it was just out of earshot of the busy main road. Perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A visit to Catchy Cafe has become a morning ritual whenever we’re in town. We’ve been coming here for well over a year. The coffee is consistently excellent & even comes with a little chocolate fish! Super friendly staff no matter how busy they are & whether you’re just stopping in for a quick coffee or a leisurely meal. There’s a cabinet full of house made goodies to tempt you but my favourite menu item is their brioche French toast. The combination of bacon, banana & berries complemented by a dollop of mascarpone is delicious & always beautifully plated. Their avocado smash with poached eggs is a close runner up. If you’re lucky you’ll also get to meet Tom, the neighbourhood cat who sometimes hangs around the cruise deck.
