★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would very highly recommend this company (Central Cycle Trail / Cycle Surgery), for any bike, accommodation, or transport services in Central Otago. They organized a 5 day cycle tour for four of us in April 2021, including all transfers, transport, bike hire, accommodation and some restaurants too. Everything worked like clockwork, was well organized and well communicated, efficient, with great shuttle vans and excellent near new and comfortable bikes. Pip was efficient with the booking process, their Apple App was useful, and good advice and transport was provided by Brian and Dave and their team too. Will definitely be returning for another tour. Thanks for all your help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great bike shop! The staff were super helpful, and didn’t mind about our night-before booking. We weren’t too sure which bike track to take and the staff were helpful suggesting the track they thought would best suit us. The bikes were really new and good quality, with the tires checked and the height based on our height, and had helpful accessories including for our phone. In addition, the price was great!! Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 60+ and partner cycled the new Lake Dunstan cycle trail. Fantastic. Not too difficult. Travelled from Clyde to Cromwell (& into light chilly wind). Average age of tourists on route was 60+ (people with time on their hands?). Went after Queens Birthday so quieter. Great service from Pip & Dave. I love E-bikes!! All up $350 cost to hire and for transport back to Clyde. Coffee boat at 20km mark was truly a welcome sight. Warning. In winter Wear gloves, scarf, thermals, jacket and beanie!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reading the other comments reinforce my experience. We had a broken chain 12 k along the Dunstan trail and managed to tow each other back to Clyde. The chap in the shop said he'll get us on our way and spent about 40 min repairing the chain and said no charge. He insisted. A really nice thing to do. 10 out of 10. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to say these guys were awesome. We had a mix up with another cycle company and we’re effectively stuck in Middlemarch with our car in Clyde. The other company didn’t particularly make a large effort to find any other transport options for us. So I was going to hitchhike back to Clyde or spend 6 hours biking back to get our car. Central cycle trail co even though we hadn’t dealt with them and it wasn’t their issue offered to drop us back to Clyde despite them not have any other passengers or planned bookings. They really were our Angel in our hour of need and I doubt what they charged covered their costs. They really used a customer focused approach and problem solving attitude. The lady even chased me down in the cafe 100 metres down the road to offer to help. Absolutely awesome people and really enjoyed the ride back to Clyde and conversation. Our family was incredibly grateful. Thanks heaps guys, highly recommended to all.
