Myself and my partner were overwhelmed with the warm and welcoming atmosphere, incredible room and facilities, amazing food and wonderful company (Bella, Rufus and sometimes Otto, and of course the wonderful Nina and Pete!) thank you so much for having us and we really look forward to staying again! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Couldn’t fault Nina and Pete’s hospitality! They were very welcoming, friendly and just amazing people. The breakfast is awesome, highly recommend Nina’s mushrooms or anything she cooks really?
Stayed in the Ruapehu room, the wifi in there is intermittent, however we weren’t there for the wifi, we were there for the luxury, view, quietness and Taupo attractions.
Will highly recommend to anyone visiting Taupo and will definitely be back if we are ever in Taupo again. A+++

Great room, nice view.
Great way to break up the drive from Auckland to Wellington. Would highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My fiancé and I stayed here earlier this year and was blown away by Peter and Nina's hospitality! They made us feel very welcome, and Nina put on an absolutely beautiful spread for breakfast! We would love to stay here again. I also highly recommend booking directly :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful and secluded spot with amazing views from your room. It's was such a pleasure staying here from the complimentary wine and nibbles on arrival, all the comforts needed for your stay and a lovely breakfast (which if it's a gorgeous day- request to have it on the balcony to soak those views in!). The hosts Nina and Pete were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend staying!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely loved our weekend at the Chalet. The property is located in a secluded area, the room had amazing views, and was very very comfortable! Peter & Nina are amazing hosts and just adds to the amazing experience! Couldn’t recommend them enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The breakfast, the hosts, the location and the room, all amazing. The breakfast that had a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, crossiants, milk, fruit juices and a cooked breakfast was brilliant every day. The room was spacious and had an AC unit, a large shower and doors that plenty out to the garden. The shared space was fantastic. Nina and Peter the hosts were lovely and I highly recommend booking a room at Chalet Eiger. We will be back.
