★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Angie and Garth really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and at home. Lots of lovely little things added to the experience. Concierge, chef, guide, sommelier and friendly neighbours all rolled into one. And if you ask nice, they might even let you feed their sheep/lambs!! Thanks guys.

Starting with beautiful canapes and drinks, to a luxurious room and the most beautiful homecooked breakfast using locally sourced produce. Well done Angie and Garth also on the many awards they have won..they truly deserve them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was an amazing experience we had at Whakaipo Lodge in Nov last year! The lodge sits in a stunning location with great views and a pretty garden. Our room was super clean and spacious. We also had gourmet pizzas prepared by our hosts Angie and Garth which were delicious.
Both Angie and Garth were super lovely & Angie took us to feed the sheep before the departure which was super fun! Hopefully we will be able to come back and visit again after the NZ-Aust travel opens up :-) Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent a wonderful weekend away at Whakaipo lodge. Garth and Angie are experienced hosts with all the skills necessary to entertain and spoil their guests and make them feel welcome. They also have plenty of interesting stories to tell. We had yummy canapés both nights and a fantastic home cooked 3 course meal one night. Garth helped us find a trout fishing guide and even smoked some of the trout for us and our fellow guests to enjoy the same day.
The lodge is a great base for exploring Taupo's cycling, boating, fishing, hiking and whatever else you might enjoy. The setting is beautiful, set amongst gorgeous mature trees.The very private suites are sparkling clean and have comfortable beds. We'll definitely be back.
