★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great value and friendly. Spotlessly clean and spacious suite. Great overnight stop for our small family. Dated style not an issue for us as our room and the grounds were perfectly clean and maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two days into a weeks stay and very happy. Homely atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Parking right outside your room so its not a walk to your vehicle. Very nice. And as stated very happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful 2 night stay this weekend. Great 2 bedroom suite. Had everything we needed with a bonus being right next to the pook. Lyn and Craig went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They organized a great pick up and drop off service to the UB40 concert that we were there for. Would highly recommend staying here. I know that I will be booking here again soon! 5 stars for me

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Craig and Lyn are very welcoming and helpful. The unit was very clean, and bed comfortable, we slept really well. I loved the blackboard on the door which listed places to eat, and places to visit. Thank you for a lovely stay, will definitely recommend and will be back, next time your way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My adult son and I stayed here last weekend. We managed to get the last unit available (with 5 single beds and one double bed!) for just $25 extra. Many places in the area were fully booked due to the Art Deco festival in nearby Napier. I was given good directions over the phone and they are close to the main Havelock North shopping centre. Hastings was 5 minutes drive away and Napier 15-20 minutes drive. The staff/owners were friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy. A good selection of tea bags, coffee sachets, etc. including a couple of cookies. Lots of cutlery, plates, glasses, etc. and cooking facilities. A nice touch was the listing of local restaurants, etc. on the door. There was no air conditioning but two large fans helped. plus we took advantage of the swimming pool. Enjoyed playing the large sized lawn chess. My only suggestion would be investing in heat pumps (that can be set to cool) for the rooms when it is very hot in summer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hate writing bad reviews on any business but unfortunately we have had a really bad experience with Cherry Grove. We have stayed there a few times under the previous ownership and it was amazing - great location, great communication and a friendly service. However the last (& will be the last) time we went to stay at Cherry grove we drove all the way from Auckland (With a 3month old baby)...we were running a little late so called ahead at Taupo only to be told that ‘There is no longer a booking for us and our room had been given away to corporate clients’ the new owner continued to say that ‘they were under no obligation to help us as there had been a change in ownership since our booking’. We have gone through all our phone records / emails and there had been no contact made to notify us of this change. The last communication I had was from the previous owner saying that we are 100% booked in and they look forward to seeing us. This booking was for the Elton John concert long weekend. It was such a stressful experience and the owner was quite rude about it. After numerous calls he tried to get us a room at a family memberS house which we appreciated BUT we should never of been put in that situation.
