★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Omg check out all the beers! This is behemoth's home base, and the beer range has to be seen to be believed. Fruity, sour, trendy, pale ales, even a lager if you hunt it out. Surprisingly fancy food offering too, and a nice covered outdoor area for getting some air with your beer.
Yep, it's good. Food's pricy, though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beer was EXCELLENT, food was a let down. Had the Chur-ger with the optional bacon and the Churly's fried chicken. Burger was decidedly average - kind-of small for the price, and the patties in both our burgers had good flavour but were very dry. Bacon was the best thing in it. Chicken was similar - good flavour but also relatively dry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably my favourite NZ brewer and now they have an Auckland outpost where there are around 20 beers on tap and some rather tasty food options. I opted for the tasting paddle to sample a few of the brews on offer. My favourite was the Behemoth Stay-cation Hazy IPA, which was so juicy. The taps change regularly and Behemoth frequently creates new beers, so each visit is a taste adventure.
This was our first visit after the full kitchen opened and I was eager to test the menu. Partnership with A Lady Butcher means this is a great place for meat-lovers. I chose the roast beef sandwich, which was so good. My husband had order envy. His burger was good, but apparently needed seasoning. We didn’t realise the meals came with fries so ordered tater tots as well. They the best with creamy potato filling and a slight bite.
We’ll be back to continue working our way through the 20 taps and trying the new options.

The food was over priced and bland.
$19 for 3 small tacos, no lettuce, no guac, no cheese, no tomato, no onions, no salsa, no sour cream. It had picked vegetables meat and a piece of coriander instead.
Empanadas were ok at best.
$28 burrito that came with unripened avocado and same bland beef.
6pm and it was busy with people drinking delicious beer but hardly anyone eating. They knew something I didn't.
