★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gets busy, parking is good. Staff are good though. They need to sort out the ventilation in this place. When they cannot keep the showers open after hours for safety reasons cause they can't put cameras in changing rooms smh of course you can't put them in there but have safety buttons etc so they can be kept opened, last thing is after a long shift, straight to the gym would be better to shower before heading home after a long day & workout. 5cents churrr

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an old but decent gym with all the gear plus great classes, and they have slowly improved it with renovations. Some of the gear needs maintenance (calf raise machine been jammed for ages). Gets very humid in the summer, could use better ventilation or AC in the main areas. Could also use a bike rack for parking bikes outside entrance (though there is one up the hill near library). The classes are awesome and very motivating, especially the ones lead by Res. Massage chairs are a welcome luxury.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Equipment is lacking, in need of more space and more equipment. Would be good if they had more space, more racks and benches, some platforms and bumper plates. Some decent barbells would be nice too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Summary: this gym is pretty good and does what it says on the box.
Can't say I noticed any ventilation problems that others talked about.
My point of reference is city fitness Mount Wellington. Three kings has less equipment than Mt Wellington but it also has heaps of parking, is less crowded and their equipment is better maintained.
I used to find that at Mt Wellington I would struggle to get a spot on a Squat rack, I dont have that issue here.
Staff are friendly, place is clean. No issues.
My only request is a Stairs machine but that's very minor

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son went with his friend who joins the Gym and paid membership. The Gym charged him $20 for that one-off trial. They did not consider that he was taken to the Gym by a friend and gave him a free-trial for a day or even a couple of hours. What a greedy organisation! My son just turned 18, & sadly he did not question the Gym why could not give him some discount or special treat as he might join the Gym? He paid $20 and his thought afterward it was a rip off. Usually young people they are shy and do not dare to be open asking for this kind of things. I was offered by at least 2 gyms to join them and they give me free one week trial on all equipment. I was very disappointed with the treatment that my son had at Three Kings City Fitness. I did go to the Reception and mentioned this to the person who was at the reception desk on Waitangi Day. This Gym is definitely a big NO from me and whoever I meet I will use my "word of mouth" to discourage them to join this organisation. & it is now my review for public to learn of that very unkind management/operations to be called "your local Gym".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ if you to cancel the membership, you have to do it a month ago. no body tell you this until your money been charged. on it web site, very hard to find cancellation form. not friendly. when your 1 year membership is over, nobody tell you it will be roll over. easy in but hard to exit.!!
