Clearyak - Clearyak 150 Goat Island Road

We had a great time kayaking in the clear kayak at Goat Island today. A wonderful experience out on the sea looking through the kayak at sea and fish. The day was great, Kip couldnt have been more helpful ,gave us clear guidelines and left us to enjoy. We would highly recommend this experience.

The clear kayaks are amazing. We saw some fish and had great time. Very friendly staff. Kip who gave us instructions, was so kind paddling out on his board and taking pictures of us and then emailing them. This was a really nice service.

Had an absolutely fabulous time during the weekend out on the water. Very easy to book and Kip was super friendly and helpful on the day. The kayaks were nice and light and the whole experience was very fun. Would recommend to all :)

Great experience in the water with friendly staff! Definitely would recommend to do it with friends and family, make sure you bring change because some your clothes will get wet.

On a summery Auckland day, we decided to head over to Goat Island. Goat Island Marine Reserve is about 50mins out of Auckland City and is New Zealand’s first and most accessible marine reserve. It’s an amazing spot for snorkelling and diving allowing to get up close to masses of sea life. Recently there has been another addition to the Goat Island Marine Reserve allowing people to experience the marine life but without being totally drenched in water. Everyone in their life has either been in a kayak or certainly heard what a kayak is. Well Clearyak has just hit the shores of NZ! Clearyak is a great way of saying kayak which is totally transparent allowing you to paddle out and feel like you’re sitting on water. I kid you not! Brook & Sarah had a light bulb moment after starting up their TourShop business servicing the Matakana, Leigh, Snells Beach and Goat Island area. Clearyak was born and hundreds of visitors to Goat Island have already flocked to experience a great way to see the marine life. The Clearyak’s offer a pure, peaceful experience and the vision beneath you is amazingly clear and detailed. You are likely to view fish such as snapper, parore, eagle ray and stingray to name a few. Also with the environment in mind, Brook and Sarah designed the Clearyak’s to view marine life up close in the wild without disturbing their natural habitat. The two seater Clearyak’s are designed with safety in mind. It is built using Polycarbonate resin which can make Bulletproof Glass and warcraft Window. It is 250 - 300 times that of same thickness glass and 30 times that of acrylic sheet meaning that it will not crack under pressure whilst you’re paddling away. Before each person gets in the Clearyak, the team take you through the safety briefing and supply you with a life jacket. Then you are safely seated in the Clearyak and provided instructions of the route so you don’t go bumping into any snorkelers  The Clearyak’s are comfortable and easy to manoeuvre through the water. You will be surrounded by water and you will simply have an amazing experience. If you’re lucky enough, Brook may even escort you out on his paddle board giving you bit of a tour of the marine life areas. So don’t wait, get out there and get in a Clearyak.

Very friendly and helpful guys. We had a beautiful day out and saw a bunch of fish. Had some snapper that were super friendly and followed us around a bit. My highlight was spotting an eagle ray, unfortunately I lost it before I could get a picture (guess I'll have to go try again some time :)).

Such a nice little beach area. The clearyaks were amazing. Could see everything below in the clear water. Family and I enjoyed the time a lot. Saw fish and even dolphins! Great customer service and highly recommend going on a sunny day. Worth the trip out.
