About Companion Vets Ltd
We are so excited to be launching Hamilton’s newest veterinary clinic! Dr Craig Brighouse, an experienced local vet who has over 15 years in Hamilton and his wife Margie never dreamed that they would have the opportunity to start their own business together. But when the opportunity arose, they seized on it!
When they started to work out what message they wanted to promote for their new business they considered a range of ideas but settled quickly on the name because they felt it characterised the animal and human relationship so beautifully. They are pets but they are more than that – they are your companion, thus Companion Vets was born! And we want you to know that we exist for them and their needs – Our Purpose is Pets – truly!
And adding to our story we are delighted to announce that Dr Juliet Matthews is now also a proud joint owner of Companion Vets!!!

β β β β β Companion Vets is my go-to vets for my puppy to get all his vaccinations, check ups and everything else a dog needs.! I have never been disappointed with there service and the environment and cleanliness is outstanding. Everyone in there are so welcoming and make my dog feel like heβs famous as everyone knows who he is and his name and he just loves the vets everytime he goes. Would recommend Companion Vets over anywhere in my opinion ??β€οΈ?

β β β β β My Athena loves Craig, she had major surgery an amputation of her big toe.
The healing process was long, it was hard on her as she is such an active dog, now confinded to the house for 6 weeks and having to wear a cone.
Everyone was so supportive at companion vets.
Positive advise, phone calls extra visits.
I would not go anywhere else. Craig has a straightforward approach and gets things done
Highly recommend to anyone who loves their pets

β β β β β We read some positive comments about Companion Vets on the St Andrews Resident site so when we got our puppy we decided to take him there for his first check up and vaccination. We felt so welcomed. The vets are wonderful along with all the other friendly staff. Our puppy loves his visits there especially puppy school. So pleased we found out about this Vet. Good pricing too and quick response.

β β β β β I'm a new pet parent. I have a kitten and a puppy. I absolutely value the advice given by the team from the very start. I was given valuable advice even before buying the two pets and as soon as we got the pets home, we took both of them to Companion Vets. I was terrified as I've heard many stories about pets being afraid to go to the vets. However, the team at Companion Vets made both us and our pets very happy. Both our pets love to visit the clinic which is a blessing. Love the fact that everyone I meet at the clinic knows the names of both my pets. They also care for your fur babies for real. If they do not do that, my puppy would never run after the staff wagging his tail like crazy. Such a kind and caring staff ?

β β β β β Craig and his team of amazing vet nurses are by far the best vets I have ever found. And Iβm pretty fussy! They are friendly, show real caring toward my dogs (thank you) the level of professionalism is also worthy of comment- they freely share knowledge and have open discussions as well as provide clear information about the procedure and any after care! They are exactly what they advertise on their site. I would happily recommend them to anyone (in fact I already have!) ??βοΈ

β β β β β I cannot recommend the team at Companion Vets highly enough. Our cat was to have surgery at a different vet clinic that unfortunately could not be carried out. Companion Vets were able to offer us a same day appointment for a consultation and the surgery was completed the following week.
I was kept well informed at all times and offered thorough explanations as to what was involved with my catβs surgery. All communication was prompt and comprehensive. We will be using Companion Vets for all future consultations. Thank you Companion Vets!

β β β β β Absolutely amazing vet clinic!! Previously had alot of issues with my large German sheppards and their skin for years, made the change to see the team at companion vets and it was the best decision we ever made for our animals.
Their skin is under control and they are very happy. We don't feel like we are being ripped off and the staff are always amazing at explaining everything to us.
They also care for our foster pups ? β€οΈ
