The staff here make you feel as if you are their only client .From the moment you walk through the door you are treated with such professionalism and care .Right through my pets treatment I have been kept well informed. At the moment Dr Baumberg is treating my cat and he is not shy of going the extra mile a trait that seems to be consistent with all staff at this clinic. Obviously highly recommend.

I had an awful experience with this place. My dog had a broken leg I went there for a surgery followed all post surgery instructions which was internal plating also go back check with every two weeks. Six weeks later one of screw popped out. The vet decided to took all the screws out and left a big pin inside of two broken bones he said this will help the two bones join back together I was questioning it but I still trusted him, two weeks later the pin made so much damage and broke the knee bone so he decided to do external plating, since then we been go back there to check if there is any infections every two weeks until 8 weeks later, bone is still not connected he wanted to do the other surgery to fix then we decided to get referrals to go to Auckland to get it fixed. We so glad that we did it . Because they found out legs has been seriously infected. We have no other choice but to amputate the leg, also Auckland vet has mentioned the vet from Hamilton small animal made few mistakes such as 1,putting as big pin at the 1st time , 2,removing all the screws out and left pin in . 3. Choosing the external plating . Overall we have spent more than 20000 for the whole treatment. But because this Hamilton small animal vet only cares about how many money they making . They have no intention to acknowledge what they did wrong, the key thing is the infection . We have been doing every two week post surgery appointment each of them I have paid until the last one which was 200 dollars but we decided we will not pay it because they didn’t even pick up the infections until we went to Auckland vet . The whole leg has been infected which means the infection has occurred since lone time ago. I went back to talk to the vet, I asked them why they couldn’t pick up the infections the ask they got me was because it is expensive to get CT scan i said it is my choice to decide if it is expensive but you can’t decide it for me now they wouldn’t take any responsibility for it . So until today they keep sending me invoice that I have told them and emailed them that I refused to pay as the service I received was faulty . I also ask the money back, how the managers dealing it is to ignore my requests and keep sending me the invoice to harassing me .

First time ever I was not happy with Vet service at this Practice. Didn't introduce himself ,made no attempt to make friends with the dog. Painful vaccination causing dog to jump, and require second attempt. Caused several nails to bleed, requiring cautery, and didn't actually clip them all.

Had our dog here for surgery a few years ago and had a positive experience, however, just went back recently for a generic check up. Vet had a brief examination which only took around 5 mins in total but costed us a whopping $175 dollars? I don’t remember paying this much for a generic checkup from a vet, and was in disbelief. I’m sure 2 years ago we paid under $100 for a checkup and can’t believe it has gone up so much now. It definitely isn’t this expensive for a checkup in our neighbourhood vets.

I have generally been very pleased with the service provided at this practice. Unfortunately my last visit was very disappointing. I brought my cat in for what I suspected was a cat bite as I could see a small puncture wound, but was also concerned about what I thought was large swelling around the area of the bite. I mentioned the swelling to the vet but he only treated the obvious bite puncture and made no attempt at feeling for swelling or any other tender areas. Due to this he missed the other puncture wound that couldn't have been much more than a inch away from the treated puncture. This led to a burst abscess, another visit and extra expense plus all the hassles related to looking after a cat with this type of injury. At the time of the first visit I did feel that the consultation was very fast, and noticed that the speed in which a antibiotic injection was given startled the cat. I left feeling that it was a pretty cursory examination, unfortunately I reassured myself with the thought that the vet must have seen this type of injury many times before. I did mention my disappointment to the clinic and they gave me something like a 10% discount on the fee for treating the burst abscess. I posted this review as a reminder to people that if you don't feel your concerns with your pet are being heard, ask for clarification why? I will add that I have always found the nursing and reception staff to be excellent, unfortunately on this occasion I feel the clinic has been let down by the level of professionalism of one of their veterinarians.

Great team, great recommendations and great care. The team managed my cat Winston over the long weekend as he required emergency surgery. Payment options were easy and I would not hesitate to contact them again for future care. And special thank you to the Nurse Matthew who went above and beyond in keeping me updated
