Started out OK. Last four times in a row stuff has been missing. Paying for delivery and they expect me to come and pick it up. Keep getting excuses. Fruit was mouldy, substituting despite turning off the substitute option. Get told I will get a call back; I am still waiting. Won't ever use the online delivery option again.

Customer service don't pick up phone. When stock on shelves is depleted other similar more expensive items replaced with glaringly cheaper price. Many items don't have pricing on shelf. Reduce prices for customers when customer packs their own groceries. Pay your staff more to avoid strikes.

What a let down when I went shopping at your shop yesterday, I bought a cooked chicken and the two prices on the stand was $12 and $13. So I took the smaller one, according to me and when I got to the self service check out - I scanned my items and after paying what was owed, I noticed that the chickens price was $15. I immediately approached one of the staff, she looked at the price and the item and said, Oh - you took a large chicken, they cost more. When I pointed out the two prices, she said to me that she can change it for me to an even smaller chicken. When I said to her that the prices are the wrong on the stand, she ignored it and said that you took a more expensive cooked chicken. My point was, if you have items marked at a specific price, how do you then charge so much more for the item. I then did not want to cause any further delay to my busy day, so I left. If I looked at your shop in general yesterday, many of your items don't even have prices on the shelves - how are we as your customers supposed to know what we are paying - I rest my case with my personal experience by seeing 2 prices for the two different types of cooked chicken and ending up paying a different price at the check out. Not pricing items correctly is definitely no excuse for poor service. All current and future customers, please be very aware of what you buy and what you are paying for those items. You definitely have lost me as a customer

New comments - Phase 3 shopping: My local for decades so I incorporate it in my daily exercise and only get what I can carry; no issues with temporarily using my backpack instead of trolley and heading to self-service - adapting to the new norm. Some staff don't engage but we have our favourites and we appreciate their presence when we shop. If the price is wrong or absent, the quality is inferior, etc, Customer Service counter is nearby for prompt attention. If I dont like the price of an item there is no shortage of other supermarkets or specialty stores I can go to. The Glenfield store is clean, the staff well presented and its my local so it gets my custom...most of the time.

The store needs a makeover. It's old, there's tiles missing in the floor, and it has leaks (including a massive one that collasped part of the roof, a picture of it spread around NZ). On top of that food is outrageously expensive, countdown is draining the common person for as much money as possible while claiming it's necessary but then having record profits. And finally the mask wearing of staff is atrocious. Almost none of them wear their face masks right, its honestly embarassing. Children wear face masks better than your employees I'd say shop somewhere else, but you're in New Zealand. What choices do we have when it comes to where we buy our food?

Shopping in Glenfield supermarket this morning 10.30 am . What an awful experience . Shop was very busy . There were only two lanes open , queues were snaking down some aisles. We had a small trolley which was full , no body came to open another lane after being called on intercom. We were then directed to go through self check which was busy as , us with a full trolley and scanning items through with no room to put anywhere, then an item that was on special showed as full price, I called over a lady staff member who looked like she had been sucking lemons, she didnโ€™t speak just manually keyed in special price. Not blaming your staff , most of your staff are very helpful and pleasant . Today was not a good experience.
