These guys saved my butt! Their service was fast, friendly and affordable - and they turned a real bad day back into a good one by fixing an older iMac for me. They gave great advice, kept me in the loop with updates, and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

Cyclone was nothing but excellent to deal with. My case was referred to them by AppleCare as Cyclone Dunedin was one of the closest official AppleCare service provider to Queenstown. Its always agonising when one's computer crashes due to an unexpected hard drive failure, which was promptly replaced. As a professional photographer I solely relied on it & luckily had a working backup which they suggested they could re-install if I sent it to them which I promptly did. I was highly impressed with the speed of their service & communication updates each step of the way (something I practice in running my own business). Unlike so many suppliers, its often a worry when one doesn't hear back unless chased numerous times. But in this case I had complete peace of mind that work was underway & that the re-assurance that the backup was current so could be re-installed. I was couriered back to me promptly & all was in working order again much to my relief. Thanks so much, highly recommended company to deal with. Unfortunately I think complainers tend to write negative reviews & happy customers don't necessarily provide public feedback. But I'm a very happy customer & happy to write my honest opinion about my experience! :)

I have recently dealt with cyclone after my computer crashed, even though cyclone deal with Apple products I was told that my HP could be fixed by them. initially I was told the standard fee was $69.00 which I was more then happy to pay. After a couple days I was told that my hard drive had crashed and that they could install a new one on for me and that I would also have to purchase a copy of windows 8 which they also said they would install for me. I asked via phone call the cost and was told that this would be included in the initial agreed upon price. A couple days later I receive a text message saying my computer is ready for pick up, a copy of windows 7 has been installed which I was told will expire in a month with a new overall cost of $165.00. for starters I never gave them permission to install windows as I was in the process of purchasing the necessary copy of windows 8 for my computer. When I spoke to the technician about the new price he explained to me that the new cost was due to the amount of labour put into fixing the device. In my opinion I found this to be incredibly misleading considering they initially stated that the overall cost would not change, I now have to fork out an additional $150-$200 to purchase windows 8. I found cyclone to be highly unprofessional and very misleading and would not recommend the use of their services.

Had a very all round frustating expierence with Cyclone. Took my phone in which was then sent off to apple. After the 5 days (that they said it would take) it had not been recieved, at which point they said it would be tomorrow. The next day they said the same thing and that they would call me when it had arrived. They then proceeded to email me to say that my phone had finally arrived (after expecting all call). When I picked up my new phone I discovered to my dismay that the power button was loose. Back I went to Cyclone in the hope of a quick fix. No such luck. Apparently this 'apple authorised store' dosen't have any apple parts/products which makes me wonder what exactly their point is. The best they could offer me is sending it on back to apple and they couldn't even give me a temporary replacement! - Not going through all that again. I hope never to be back here again and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully I can resolve my issue with 'The Laptop Company'.

Great service. They were really quick and called me within two hours to say they had isolated the issue and had ordered a brand new phone through Apple all for free! They discovered that the issue was within a Warranty that couldn't be fixed so had to be replaced, a much better outcome than I was expecting so I was very grateful. Convenient location being very close to the Octagon.

Hi Brandon. It is with interest that I note your opinion with regards to your experience in having the hard drive replaced in your computer. Unfortunately, like all service centres, there is an expectation that the customer is responsible for their own data and the backing up of that data. When a hard drive fails... and many eventually do, it is unlikely that all the data is able to recovered. To expect an engineer to be able to recovery all the data from a drive failure is not fair to that engineer. The strong advice to all computer users is to back up your data. With the use of cloud software licensing, assuming that applications have been purchased that way, it is now comforting to know that users are able re-install those applications themselves, after any repair. We do respect your opinion of the service offered, but there is often 2 sides to every story. Should you believe that you have been not served well, please escalate to senior managers who will look closely at your particular un-resolved issues, We value our reputation and consider the service centre being commented on as being very professional in their service to customers.

The worst customer service i have ever experienced, Definitely do not recommend or trust any of there services. Cyclone Computers attempted to rip me off multiple times. I first rung Apple because my Macbook kept crash they told me that my macbook was eligible for a replacement logic board because of a defect in the model. When taking it to Cyclone they text saying it wasn't eligible for the free repairs because it wasn't the same issue but when challenging this 5 minutes later it was eligible for the free repairs (Saving over $700). When receiving my macbook back from cyclone about 10 of the keys didn't work on my macbook when they all worked fine when i first took it in, i took it back and they said it was a 'cascading error' and would cost $500 for a new top case. I rang back Apple and they were very apologetic and said that it will be repaired for free. Saving over $1200 because i challenged what they said, would hate to think how many people have been ripped off by this untrustworthy company.
