★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a place! What a home! What a family! Couldn't of asked for more, (well maybe for all of the toilets and showers to be functional) Tony the manager is a absolute diamond. Tim and Marla, the owners have seen it all and still manage to some how keep their sanity, and still care about the guests well being. Will always come back any time I return to queenstown. Thanks for all the memories!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed in Deco's for a bit more than 2 weeks after the lockdown and enjoyed it very much. People were more than welcoming as it was for the staff. Rooms were comfy, clean and with a proper size. Facilities were clean and decent. Would highly recommend this place for it has one of the best views in Queenstown and a good chunk of character.

Deco was more than just a hostel where I've stayed it was home, all the incredible people that I've meet and all the things that happened there will remain in my heart forever.
It is really a beautiful place to stay, I will definitely be back a some point, the best place to stay if you are in Queenstown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent my summer in this hostel, loved every moment of it! The vibe of the hostel was great and felt like a big family. It had great management who made you feel comfortable and welcomed. If I return to Queenstown, Deco will always be number 1 on my list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decos has been a huge part of my adventure around New Zealand, I was only planning to stay here for a month and spent 10 months here. I fell in love with the place! 8!
The rooms are clean and comfortable, kitchen has plenty of room at all times, the owners and staff are super friendly and helpful.
But what makes decos great is the people, the people make this hostel. If you want a great travel experience i would highly recommend checking into this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've stayed in this hostel for 6 month now, longer than expected, and I can call it my second home now. I had the most amazing time, including meeting the most amazing people. They'll include you as a family member. You can't think of a more relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere with the best view of Queenstown in the garden as well!
Perfect for a long-term stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staying at Decos was wonderful! I stayed there long term and the staff and residents were always amazing. The staff were always very helpful and always put their residents' needs first. They made sure that everything was always kept clean and that all the residents were kept happy. As for the residents, they made the atmosphere amazing. During my stay everyone there really made me feel as though we were all apart of a family. My stay in New Zealand wouldn't be the same without this place and it will always hold a place in my heart. I highly recommend staying here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the Deco for four weeks, but it's easy to see why some people stay for months or years! It's in the most incredible spot, so close to town but backing onto a park full of fruit trees overlooking the lake and Remarkables. The staff and other guests were lovely, and the kitchen was one of the best I've seen in a hostel. There are lots of different areas to hang out in, both inside and out. And there's a decent sized collection of books, games and DVDs for rainy days. We loved our time there and would return in a heartbeat if we're in the region again.
