★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have recently stayed at Devon on the Park, and found my stay most enjoyable. The room was well appointed, and due to the length of my stay the proprietors arranged to have a desk inside of my room. The view onto the parklands from the park-side room were most pleasant. The gourmet food was delectable. The chef modified the menu to my dietary needs, as I am gluten-free. I also have a high fruit intake, namely grapes and this was well cared for.
The house pet was pleasant enough, although slightly high-maintenance which at time could be tiring.
The grounds were well-tendered, my favorite spot was on the upper deck, overlooking the topiary hedges. Late at night some city lights can be viewed from this spot, great if you choose the nightcap option when booking your stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed at Devon on the Park recently. The rooms were well-appointed, kitchen well-stocked, and the house dog was very friendly. The bed was comfortable and the linens were both clean and high quality. Extra bedding could be found in the cupboard, but was not needed as the room was the perfect temperature for sleeping. I stayed in the Park-Side Suite, with views to the charming nearby park where local cricket teams were competing. Having chosen a self-catering option, I was heartened to find that delicious fruits, snacks and beverages were left for me. I enjoyed a cup of tea with my hosts on Sunday afternoon, they were extremely hospitable and inquired after the success of my stay. I look forward to returning.
