- Roasted White chocolate & Miso
- Maple honeycomb & almond
($6 for a single)
I personally loved the roasted white chocolate & miso, it tasted slightly like a more earthy savoury caramel and it was amazing. The maple honeycomb & almond was also really good but I think the most impressive thing about the shop is that the ice creams were only $6. There's also lots of vegan options and the shop is super cute and pink!!
Our server was also so sweet :))

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ice creams were great, me and my partner picked 2 flavours. Nonetheless the waitress who served us is unfriendly, (Sunday afternoon 16/1/2022), didn’t bother to greet us, not even a thank you and eye contact when we pay and leave the store. Quite an unpleasant experience, given that we didn’t do anything wrong (we had mask on, scanned the sign in barcode, and vaccine pass checked), and there weren’t any customers waiting to be served except us at the moment. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to the other store in Ponsonby and only just realised there was another store here. I can't say enough good things about Duck Island. They've got some really good flavours for really good prices. Also, they don't give you too much, so I don't go away feeling guilty about treating myself. Definitely will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most delicious ice cream and ambiance and best spot in Newmarket for dessert. I for one am GLAD that they care about their staff and customers and check vaccine passes as they should. Also great for my daughter who is lactose intolerant. Will continue to support happily!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m from the Hamilton, so I know Duck Island Ice Cream. I was keen to see what the other scoop shops were like so stopped into the Newmarket store. It’s a beautiful store, and out the back they have a most excellent neon sign. The girl who served me was super friendly and enthusiastic about the ice cream. I don’t normally get more than a single back home, but this time I went full sundae. It was really good! And I got to try some of the toppings available.
