About Dumpling'd
After three generations of manufacturing and creating authentic Asian foods right here in Wellington, I’ve developed a passion for good quality food, combining fresh ingredients and flavours to bring a little bit of Asia to the heart of Wellington.
I remember growing up watching my Mum hand make each and every dumpling with patience, love and soul. It was always one of my favourite foods to eat, wondering how something so small could taste so big.
So, right from the heart of China, I now bring to you a Chinese staple. Mixing the best of the East and West.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Chinese food in a snazzy location. The food is a little bit expensive (in comparison to lower end Chinese restaurants) but still good! Amazing cocktails as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All packaged frozen food and all they did was steaming them. Xiaolongbao tasted horrible, there was nearly no service at all, and a greasy environment. To be fair, main dish other than dumplings tasted a lot better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fast, fresh, delicious. Food is made right in front of you and is as fresh as it comes. The dumplings were absolutely perfect, and the options available were fantastic. My only complaint is the stools are very uncomfortable but the food distracted me completely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give this place 0 stars if i could but unfortunately i cant. The xiaolong bao was the worst i ever had in my life, the soup didn’t stay inside the dumpling and the dough tore apart so easily and the meat was like canned meat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am not a fussy eater but this place was just terrible on so many levels. It took ages to place an order, there was confusion between staff and the dumplings were bland and cold. Worst of all I had to ask them to warm the dumplings up again because they came out cold and they didn't even come back hot the second time. One dish from our lunch order took nearly half an hour to come out and we had to remind them about its existence. I would give zero stars if that was an option.
