β β β β β I saw Dr Daniel Kim tonight and he was absolutely amazing. He was kind, intelligent, personable and took into account my anxieties, giving me multiple options to address the problem so that I could walk out feeling assured that my ailment could be cured. The appointment with him was genuinely the best experience I have ever had in medical care. The receptionists and nurses were also great, and allowed me to go home and told me they'd text me when it was my turn to be seen, meaning I wasn't sitting in the waiting room for hours.

β β β β β Waiting with kids 2 hours....after that's, saying that busy now, so go to ED or GP.
Amazing Experience, Wow...., I can't understand, if they can't even check 1 year old kid with severe sick.., ..
What's kind of medical ethics they are following.

β β β β β Very disappointing. Took my wife because stomach pain because her GP appointment is more than a week away. Payed for the fee ($122) before the consultation. When we finally get to see the doctor, all she can advise is to see my wife's GP. Time and money wasted for a useless bit of advice.

β β β β β Beware of these Doctors!!!
Hate to give bad feedback but the "service" we got here tonight is literally the worst I have come across , the staff were sitting around uninterested in seeing patients so we waited many hours , but the waiting times are nothing compared to the lack of interest when you do get seen by the doctor.
My son went in with wheezing and breathing difficulties that are very similar to asthma , the doctor didn't take a peak flow test nor was he interested in giving a diagnosis, instead he lectured my son about going in there and not waiting to see his regular GP.
Obviously the doctor has never had breathing difficulties because it can be disconcerting when you can't breathe. Apparently they are happy to take the $74 up front but are not interested in helping their patients...
Morally and ethically this is appalling and it has definitely put us off from ever going back.
We do the responsible thing and go there instead of the hospital so that people with life threatening problems get seen at hospital , just as they advertise to do and this is what you get.
As I say I hate complaining but they are so bad at the Urgent Doctors that I will be filing a complaint with them and the Ministry of Health.
In short , if you can wait for your GP then go there , otherwise...go to the hospital because you can't get any real medical care at the Dunedin Urgent Doctors
Very Sad

β β β β β Been there a few times for my one year old daughter for after hours visit when sick and always a hopeless experience. After hours of long wait all the doctors turn you away by saying just keep an eye and if still not feeling better then see your GP. Whatβs the point of having such facilities when all they do is refer you back to your GP. If they canβt help then they should just tell us straight away instead of having to get people to wait around for hours.

β β β β β Absolutely terrible.
I waited hours for a nurse to finally call me yesterday, I was trying to get a concussion assessment. Even though I have tested negative for covid 8 days in a row, the nurse was telling me that I have covid and all my tests were wrong as I am a household contact and said that they cant help me and directed me to an 0800 number. Keep in mind I have had RAT tests but also PCR all negative! So rude! She also hardly asked about why I was actually calling which was for my head. The 0800 number I was given was just a covid helpline, not even close to a number that could help me. The lovely lady on the covid helpline had to end up calling the urgent doctors to TELL THEM OFF for refusing to help me. I finally called back to try talk to a doctor. Finally after about 6 hours of wasted time in my day I had a 30 second phone call which the doctor said If i haven't vomited then concussion symptoms are pretty normal and then I was emailed a $72.00 invoice. Almost robbery. How are you meant to get medical care if you are a household contact.

β β β β β A terrible experience.
The first thing the rude receptionist asks you for is the payment. My doctor is not an affiliated doctor so I was charged $31 on top of the $91. I am local and I had to pay the same price as a visitor from the UK or Australia.
The wait time was over 2 hours. I wondered how many doctors did they actually have in there for people to see?
The only good thing was I received a refund and walked out. I would never go back.
