I stayed in a "compact room" at this hotel but was pleasantly surprised by its size which was perfectly adequate for one person. I thought the cost was very good for a hotel in the centre of Auckland city. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location right by the Aotea Centre is brilliant. I was on the side of the building that experiences a lot of traffic noise but I could have asked to be located on the quiet size. Everything about the hotel was very good except for the clumsy method for logging on to Wi fi. I have already recommended this hotel to others.

Reception allocated us a room next to a disruptive group despite knowing there was police presence as we checked in. The police were dealing with some situation in the neighbouring room as we checked in so reception must have known they were there and which room they were dealing with, but still allocated guests to the area. The hotel seemed empty so I'm sure there wasn't a shortage of rooms. Small, dated room but cheap

Super super tiny simple rooms. Somehow the photos online make the place look much much newer. Rooms look much much larger and nicer. Their own PR created my disappointment, set my expectations too high to be met. Rooms are tiny. This is why I have learned to rarely use C.H. Did I mention the rooms are tiny? Please revamp your online photos to properly convey room size and style. Great location. Nice staff. Would I stay here again? Not super likely. Tho the wifi internet is surprisingly fast and is free, so maybe. The desk is hard to use, only a tiny stool not shown in photos. Simple living. Adjust your expectations properly and you might be fine.

Hotel was central to all the shops & restaurants and the staff were very professional but also friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and clean. We pre-booked breakfast but the eggs, bacon & sausages were nearly cold and there weren't any pancakes as they'd run out and didn't replace them.

It's important to understand this is a review of a BUDGET hotel. The rooms are quite small but ok. You have en suite bathroom, air con, tv and fridge. We ordered breakfast with our stay and you had a good selection of options again this was fine. The location of the hotel is great, right in the city centre. It was clean enough and the staff were helpful and friendly. There is also car parking at a discounted rate next door. Don't expect a 4 or 5 star experience you Will be disappointed. However for a city centre budget hotel it's good. I would use it again.

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and I'm always greeted with a warm welcome on arrival. Some of the rooms are on the small side, but the studios are a reasonable size. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the room amenities are more than satisfactory. The hotel is a short walk from the Intercity bus terminal, Sky City and downtown Auckland, so a convenient location to everything. The hotel is definitely good value for money.

I stayed on 2 separate occasions. I can't fault the front desk service - friendly and welcoming and check in was quick and easy. For my first night's stay, I was upgraded to a studio. It was reasonably spacious (for a budget hotel) and was clean and comfortable. A good-sized bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. Thank you for the plastic pouring jug to full the electric jug! In other places I've stayed, it's impossible to fill the electric jug because it doesn't fit under the tap in the sink! A nice, quiet, comfortable room. My second stay was in a standard room. Not too bad, but a bit noisier (there was a row of aircon units outside a couple of floors below) and a much smaller bathroom. I'm short, but even I had to duck under the tiny shower head! Still good water pressure though. The little fan heater was also appreciated with the colder weather. The hotel is close to the Intercity bus terminal (Sky City) and obviously Sky City itself as well as Queen Street, Civic Theatre etc.

The hotel is well-situated for the CBD and is good value. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was large. The heat pump worked well although it was not straightforward to operate at first. Parking is available at $21 per 24 hours at a nearby car park with security surveillance. The area is reasonably lively without being overcrowded and is safe.
