Saw multiple pods of dolphins even though it wasn't perfect weather conditions as well as plenty of penguins fur seals and more. Steve and the team were super friendly knowledgeable and informative. Although this a tour company they do so much towards the conservation of the very rare Hector dolphins so we are proud to support them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome trip with Steve. We saw Hector dolphins, fur seals, blue pinguins and albatros. Great little boat with only 12 people on board lets you get close to the coast. We got extremely lucky to see the very rare neanderthaler cave sheep!

Stephen, the captain, is local from Akaroa (his family is been there for 5 generations) and he's passionate about the location, the history and the environment.
It was a 5* experience, with no doubt.
Don't miss it if you visit Akaroa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This experience was incredible!!! We had a wonderful, intimate swim with the dolphins and enjoyed every second of our time on the boat. Steve and his staff are warm, friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and this is a local, family-run, eco-friendly business. I hope to be back one day and am SO grateful that the Kaikora trips were full because I can’t imagine a better trip than this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best experience in Akaroa!! We saw penguins, seals and lots of the playful Hector dolphins. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area - 5th generation living in Akaroa- which added even more value to this experience. The boat is perfect for getting as close as possible to the harbour’s wildlife.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stellar experience. Loved staying out on the water for so long. We saw heaps of dolphin pods, seals with their adorable pups, some penguins and other wildlife. The scenery is also stunning, and we got pretty close to some of the caves, etc. I’ve done other tours in Akaroa and this is by far the best! Our skipper’s family has lived in the area for generations so he was wealth of knowledge and also shared a real passion for the conservation of this beautiful place. Highly recommend the dolphin swimming tour!
