★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the staff did the root touchup. It was lighter hair color form my existing one. which was looking so horrible because now I had black hair down there and light brown on roots. And I gave her second chance to correct it. But instead correcting it, she just ruined my whole hair color. And even she dropped some hair color on my jacket too? which is so unprofessional. I wont recommend to anybody.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hairdresser didn't cut my hair that I wanted from the photo that I showed her and before cutting my hair they said the original price of the haircut was $35 but then after they cut it was $50, and the lady who cut my hair even said she thinned my hair which I didn't knew. She didn't even say that she would thin my hair when she was doing my hair. All I know for a fact that she's cutting my hair from the photo that I showed her. Overall, my hair was not cut straight at all and it's not actually similar to the photo that I wanted. It's just cut shorter and it's so expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Laybuy don't work here I don't know if it's there system a bit frustrating. I don't know if they have fixed problem yet. The staff is lovely beautiful customer service. However after washing hair Its non stop itchy all over head don't know if its the chemicals also dye on my face

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today I had a retouch, the colour 6 and 4 to the young guy, and ended up with bright burgundy, on grey hair, regrowth, hideous, dye all over my face, ears, hairline. It was so bad I used two tissues to wipe the pink colour off and had to then have a wet towel. A lady had to recolor it and it's still now is so bright, awful and my medium brown hair is now almost black with pink all over my scalp. I am so heartbroken. My long hair is ruined, and it will take years to grow it out to get back to the cour I have been getting for many years. This young guy slapped this awful colour on, should not be allowed to do hair. I was still charged for the colour and it's awful. I am so very upset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am really disappointed with the service I received from this hair salon. Considering I paid so much money for such a bad job for colour. I went for a lighter colour asking the hairdresser if we were able to achieve that colour and she said yes so confidently but when my services was over it was no where near the colour I asked for. I do not recommend this place as it is overpriced for a service that is no where near 5 stars. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND

Service- technical skills are lacking very badly basic skills not applied.
My daughter had half head highlights yesterday 5 Feb 22 at Manukau Edge and her hair looks so awful, they are terribly placed not toned correctly and look yellow and very obvious in dead straight hair. Firstly we asked for Dee she is the only person you can let touch your hair. Tessa also is great. No-one else. The owner advised us to see Sharny as Dee was on leave after we booked the appt. I asked very clearly is Sharny as experienced as Dee and I was told by the owner she was the same experience wise definately I asked twice. This was not the truth. Sharny is nice but doesn’t know how to apply foils, there is colour bleeding no consult about placement of foils or which side she parts it on. Her hair is is now two colours top half yellow bottom half where her previous foils were done by Vivo cool ash toned blonde. You can clearly see there not enough foils. I want my money back or my daughters hair re-done by Dee at no cost to my daughter. I will wait to be contacted and update this review accordingly. Our appt was at 10.00am Sat 5 Feb 2022. Six weeks passed. Never heard back from Edge. Hair was fixed at Botany Vivo by Keenan amazing. They have a new client price for full head or half head.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The awesome Team at the Edge Salon Manukau Mall had the tedious job of fixing the ugly mess that was my hair??♀️? because I knew how bad my hair was, I knew it wouldn’t be a easy fix, but the lovely girls that worked that day reassured me that everything was ok, and that they would give me the look I was wanting. Not only did they fix my hair, they went above and beyond all my expectations and the final result was more then I could ever ask for! I am truly amazed and grateful for their wonderful work! I will definitely be using their services in the future and I highly recommend this awesome team!!
They also build your confidence and make you feel comfortable which made my experience even better because never had I been to any hair salon before visiting The Edge Salon, or had my hair coloured, cut or styled ever!!
Thank you once again The Edge Salon, you guys were truly fantastic!
