★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked many months ago for a party of 16 which was confirmed. We were advised that there was a wedding in the afternoon but as we were booked for 11am that would not be an issue. We confirmed the booking on the day and were told we were expected. On arrival we were told they were closed and would not take us as they had a wedding. Very disappointed and very annoyed with the communication. We won’t be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely professional and a beautiful selection (flight) of wines. Also loved the pairing with different food. Woukd be an incredible place to stay with swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant and plenty of lovely wine!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite having a group booking arranged and booked weeks before arriving. We were advised there was a wedding on the day at booking but this would be fine and they could accommodate us. Upon arrival we were greeted suprisingly and told our booking was canceled due to the wedding and they could not accommodate us. They made no attempt to apologize and only after 20 minutes of standing in the rain trying to find an alternative winery did they attempt to explain the reason why they could not accommodate us. At which point we'd rearranged an alternative winery, Murilea Rise which didn't disappoint. Would recommend skipping the substandard service at escarpment cellar door.

Escarpment was definitely our highlight - Dean the restaurant manager was outstanding and attentive, great value tasting and excellent service - would definitely be back. Thank you Dean you are literally the man.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely superb. Lovely location and we were well looked after by Dean (Restaurant Manager) who absolutely deserves a pay rise. Dean was extremely knowledgeable and friendly during our wine tasting. Would definitely return the next time I visit Martinborough.
