How disappointing, we went there for dinner today 19th January my 60th Birthday, we had a satay entree that consisted of a leaf of lettuce cut up in 4 pieces with a piece of chicken that was supposed to be satay that didn’t even taste anything like satay, it was a hot sauce of some type but it was not satay!
There were flies everywhere all over the knives & forks & on the back the chairs at the empty tables & they we’re waiting for tables to get their food & they then pounced on us our hair the table our glasses & it was gross.
We were going to have dessert but no way the flies were utterly disgusting!
We will never be back & will definitely not be promoting them to any family & friends!!!

No apology even we talk with staff.
Very disappointed. Never going again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I picked this restaurant on previous ratings but it didn't work in this case. We were a group for lunch on Sunday. Restaurant was less than halfway full. Waitress is good and polite and checked the orders before leaving the table. And it went downhill from there. It took long time to get food, over 20 minutes at east. There were inconsistencies around the table but most of us felt food was average. My Thai prawn salad was bland, prawns lukewarm. Couple of people left half of less burger on the plate. My wife was happy with her Prawns and Scallops. Five of us ordered coffee and regretted it. We got one at the time and already least 2-3minutes between each. Sadly, we didn't enjoy this lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good drinks and food. We had BBQ pork ribs and lamb shanks. Both nice dishes. BBQ pork rib sauce was okay but slightly sweet and blend for our tastes. Lamb was quite good. Good service. Friendly but not over the top. Cozy spot for a nice relaxing night out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Group of 4 for dinner, all our meals were very good Steak, lamb shanks, chicken curry and served hot entrees and dinner. This is a restaurant/bar, They do have large tvs for sport and the rugby league was on, so their were people in there watching the sport. If you don't want to watch Saturday sport, I wouldn't recommend it. But otherwise good service and food. Prices for mains between $25 - 40 dollars

The staff are wonderful and welcoming and the food is superb using fresh and quality produce., anything chosen off the menu is always cooked to perfection and well presented and delivered to your table within a reasonable time frame. The ambience and the friendly service, prepares one for the quick delivery of a full plate of juicy ribs fries and salad. Delicious. I regard this restaurant as our first choice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best fish and chips I had so far from all the places I tried in NZ. The dishes are big and delicious and not pricey at all. I will absolutely recommend you give it a try if you are in Orewa area.
