★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been with this company for a total of 5 years. For the first 4 1/2 years I was in a shared living situation with the power account in my name. Everything was fine.
The problems began when that situation changed to me living alone.
The weekly amount that was being deducted from my account had been $50 pw. This amount is automatically calculated and based on past bills which is fair enough. The problem was even though I immediately informed them my living circumstances had changed they would not reduce the payments. This of course resulted in me being hundreds of dollars in credit and needing to get multiple refunds. After 6 months of that due to consistently having $80 monthly bills they still would not reduce the payments to any less than $35 pw. I told them if they didn't I would move to another power company, they still refused so that was that. I'm now with a company that lets their customers, not their computer systems, have control over their own payments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this company at any cost. I was a customer with genesis for more than five years, and all my bills where sky high. There is only two people living in the house and i was paying close to $200 almost every month. I shifted to another company and now i am paying around the $120 to $130 which is reasonable. Bad experience bad prices.

In Johnsonville it's Tuesday and Thursday delivery I ring and she says no it's now Wednesday.......it's Wednesday STILL NO GAS .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had Genesis Energy as my electricity provider now for the best part of a year and I can say without any hesitation that their customer service is second to none.
Their kilowatt/hour charge is at least 22% lower than the big brand power providers and they have an awesome app which forecasts your power usage very accurately. There was a problem with my meter recently and they came immediately to install a new one and that has allowed them to give me even more accurate forecasts of my upcoming power usage, even based on weather and previous power consumption , so there are no nasty surprises. I highly recommend Genesis Energy to anyone wishing to switch power providers ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lived in a 4 person Flat on the Terrace, with genesis for 2 years and at the end of our contract they stiffed us for $300 telling us it was "a slight estimation error" AVOID THIS COMPANY if you do not want to be ripped off
