★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff great in most wards I have been to. Cafe has limited opening hours and doesn't sell fizzy drink, but sells icecreams! Need a vending machine for when the cafe is closed. Potholed carparking and roading a safety hazard. No chemist or gift shop. From what I've seen of the wards most are run-down with furniture half broken and holes in wall coverings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nurse was rude, made my father (who was in pain) and I wait outside a room knowing we were there, then asked very rudely if we were going to come in. The male "doctor" made me feel very uncomfortable and was very demeaning while speaking. I have your names so will be doing something about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly kind and prompt treatment at emergency department. My son is very ill and he was treated immediately, and we were both treated with respect. Got the right medication for my son. Thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses and hospital staff at gisborne hospital.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They took x-rays and everything is alright with that department. But the rest of the care was pretty bad, they didn't give me a clear diagnosis; They never told me if it was a sprain or just a contusion, they put a compression gauze on me that did not tighten anything, and they were not able to disinfect a cut even though I specifically requested it
