★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, quiet, the kitchen has all the utensils you need, there are comfy hammocks, outdoor seating, and couches inside. Only a couple minutes walk to the beach. And Sue is fantastic!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Comfortable and with a great outdoor area with big tables under grapevine cover. Two hammocks tempt one to relax and chill out. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and plenty of games, interesting books and magazines. Sue's warmth and energy made sure we had a great couple of nights in one of her double rooms in a cabin next to the terrace. Clean very adequate bathroom facilities. A great stay. Friendly atmosphere with some guests returning year after year to this haven.

Sue & Mike are wonderful, the place has such charm and such a treat to get pick some fresh grapes from the vine at the door. They are full of information. It's a lovely town to stop in, beautiful hikes & swims. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a well equipped kitchen, look no further, there is everything here to cook a fantastic meal. Fridge, freezer and complete utensils.
Rooms are comfy. The bed may be in need of an upgrade soon but everything was clean and on good condition.
Loads of HOT water and good wifi.
Beautiful outdoor lounge and common areas.
Loved it.
A short bike ride into town. There are few shops.

Only reason it wasnt fully booked is probably because people usually just look for hostels at booking.com and not the bhh website. we regretted only booking one night. The location was my favourite in all of north land, truly a hidden gem. Beautiful beach with stunning view over the sand dunes. Host was lovely as well and made us feel very welcome. A very special place, definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would reccomend to anyone. Such a homely hostel with such a good vibe. All the facilities you need. Massive kitchen and lounge area. Room was super nice and at such a good price. What made it extra amazing was the staff. Super friendly and helpful. She gave us amazing recommendations for places to explore. Definitely worth staying for a couple nights to truly appreciate the area.
