Go Bus - Māngere
About Go Bus
Go Bus can trace its roots back to the 1930’s when the first of a handful of small Waikato-based businesses was formed. In the early 1990’s these businesses came together to provide local school and urban transport under the Go Bus brand.
Today Go Bus is New Zealand’s largest operator of passenger service vehicles, delivering high-quality school, charter and urban services throughout the country.
With a fleet of over 2,000 vehicles, Go Bus has come a long way from its historic routes as a local family bus company. However, the core values of the business remain the same. We are proud to maintain a strong focus on family culture and continue a local bus company approach. Our desire to expand and lead the industry is finely balanced by our commitment to maintaining the strong traditional small business values and culture that we believe is vital to success.
What We Do
Go Bus provides urban, school and charter services throughout the country with most, but not all, provided through long-term contracts with organisations such as Auckland Transport, local councils and the Ministry of Education.
These contracts are provided through a publicly advertised competitive tendering process where quality and price are measured so as to determine the winning provider. We are also the company of choice for many other organisations who can independently choose their transport provider. We know that they too, like the larger organisations, choose Go Bus because of the range of services we offer, our high-quality service and competitive prices.
Our Company
Go Bus is part of the Kinetic group, Australasia’s largest bus operator.
Kinetic’s mass transport credentials have been developed over 40 years with extensive experience and capabilities delivering fully integrated services across airport transport, government urban and school services, and charter services.
Kinetic’s growing mass transit platform includes leading airport transit business SkyBus, urban bus operators Surfside Buslines, Sunbus, Loves Bus Service, and Go Bus Transport, and Sydney’s largest bus and coach charter company Telfords, and New Zealand's premier coach brand, Johnston's Coachlines.
We care about your safety and privacy. For further information on Go Bus' CCTV policy, read HERE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting behaviour by one of the drivers who drops off at papakura leisure centre. Parks every day in the disabled spot but fails to display a permit. When I complained she hissed and swore at me. Not some one I would want around my kids. Go bus also refused to acknowledge my complaints when I tried to contact them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been waiting at the bus stop 6182 for 10 minutes around 6:30pm tonight. I waved the bus 325 with no. plate GB5404 with phone's light on (suggested by another night bus driver). However, the bus driver just stopped 50 meters before the bus stop and then I had to walk towards the bus. The driver just drove off immediately after dropping off a student girl. She witnessed the driver's rude behavior and commented that he was not supposed to stop there. After that, I chased him up to a red traffic light and knocked the door, but the driver just looked away. I was so angry because he refused to communicate and provide bus service. He is so arrogant and unhelpful driver I have ever met. I don't think the bus running behind schedule could be an excuse of not communicating or ignoring customers in this case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give -100 if I could.
712 Bucklands Beach bus, starting at 5:40am.
Appalling behaviour by this bus driver. We were stopped at corner intersection of Pakuranga Rd and Ti Rakau Drive, bus lane, red light. Driver toots and abuses a bike rider telling him to move because it’s a bus lane. Then when we get to the first stop after the lights, the bike rider pulls alongside the bus on the footpath and the driver opens the door and starts abusing him again. This bike rider was miraculously so calm. The bus driver told him to read the road code. In fact the bus driver should be reading the road code, bikes ARE ALLOWED in the bus lane. The bus was probably at this location at 6am. There are very few cars on the road at this hour so he could easily have gone around the bike. Yes the bus lights goes green a few seconds before the main traffic lights, however what’s a few seconds waits, nothing. This wasn’t necessary, I didn’t like witnessing this. Driver, if you read this, if you don’t like bikes, then you are in the wrong job. In fact, you don’t deserve your job with your attitude. You probably should retire. Bike rider, if you read this, I’m sorry this happened to you and I hope it didn’t ruin your Friday, you WERE in the right. I would have said something at the time but I didn’t want to start anything and delay passengers getting to their destination. I’m sure everyone else on this bus felt for you. The bus driver, male, over 60, white hair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bucklands Beach bus No. 712 leaving Panmure at 3:45pm - drivers constantly letting on a kid for free because her brothers asks to tag her on with his card. The driver should tell the brother that he should buy a card for his sister. The driver obviously either doesn't know or can't be bothered tagging the sister on with the brother's card manually. The brother just smiles each time as he walks down the aisle as he knows he has yet again gotten away with a free ride for his sister. I know this cause it happens a few times EVERY WEEK. Its no wonder AT makes no money with drivers letting passengers on for free. Its unfair to those of us who do pay. I have contacted Go Bus but they don't care. The route should be given back to Howick and Eastern bus company!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This seems to be an ongoing issue for your drivers. Why is it so hard for them to do their job? There job is to make sure their passangers get safely from point a to point b.
This charming man was the driver of the 743 to Onehunga tonight. There was a traffic jam on Mt wellington highway, this in itself is not an odd occurrence they happen as this is the entrance into Sylvia park. However your employee decided to take the OUTSIDE lane missing the bus stop entirely, then expected myself and another passenger to get out and walk arcoss 2 lines of moving traffic. He then demanded we go into sylvia park, which is incredibly unhelpful. When i argued with him as i was not risking my safety going arcoss 2 lines of moving traffic, he accused me of "pushing the bell to late". If the caliber of the staff you hire, i pity your company. The safety of your passengers is more important than running slightly late.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 712 Bucklands Beach. Often arrives one minute, bang on or after due leaving. Most passengers are waiting near the entrance to the train station. The driver (3:45pm) then what appears to deliberately go all the way to the end of the bus platform so we have to spend minutes all walking down there. I get this, if the bus is early because they are only apparently meant to wait a few minutes up the top end, however when they are close to running late for their leaving time, there is no reason why they can't stop where the passengers are waiting. This happens multiple times a week. I notice other buses, 70, 72, 352 are more considerate to their passengers and stop where the majority of people are, or where someone has put their hand out.
