★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not rent from this place the worst customer service. I hired car from them a 5 weeks ago & I got a parking ticket during hire term & instead of them contacting me when I accidentally lost my ticket to forward their copy on to me to get ticket changed in my name & so I could pay it. I got contacted Tuesday 15/3/22 by email from Go Rentals advising me they charged me $50 & wasted efforts getting it put into my name that I could have done. After they unfairly charged me & notified me what they had done I then paid the parking ticket on the same day & contacted them to resolve the issue & reps from their Auckland office claim that they had to charge me the fee due to efforts they went to in order to put it in my name. But they didn't have to if they had emailed me I could have done it & I paid the ticket the day they emailed me & sent them a copy. They wasted time following processes without contacting me to resolve the issue to avoid their charge. The rental agreement even states that they may charge a fee not that they will, may can be interpreted as they will contact the hirer to pay ticket & get in their name or they will charge the fee. I never got contacted to fix the issue they just charged me & took action without notifying me. The reps emailing me are so incompetent & I am taking them to the disputes tribunal to obtain justice against them. Worst car rental place do not hire from them!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience. The GO app worked well and everything was sorted through the app like booking, payment and license details before Pickup. We hired a Tesla and the main functions (like unlock and lock, open boot) were integrated into the GO app. Pickup and Drop-off was super easy. We will be back in the future to hire another EV. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a Telsa Model 3 which was a fun driving experience. However while the rental pickup and return was pretty seamless I find their deposit process highly unsatisfactory. They charge a $1500 on your credit card at the time of the rental and keep that charge active for at least 7 business days from the day of the rental pickup even though the car has been returned and signed off as there being no damage.. That means you have $1500 less availability on your card. When I called they said they could not change this as it is automatic but that means their reservation system needs to be changed to release the bond once the car has been returned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to book. Insurance options and fees not displayed until after date/car confirmed . Free shuttle was quick to pick me up from Wellington terminal. The whole hire process was digital. It was a bit tricky signing on the tablet for a novice, but I think I got there with something resembling a signature. When I dropped car off , I elected to walk to terminal for some mask free air, and it took maybe 6-7 mins. All in all happily recommended :)

I’ve rented the same car (Toyota C-HR Turbo) and it’s such a great driver, and they’ve been in excellent condition each time. I have some trips coming up and will absolutely be using GO Rentals for my car rental needs.

There was a bit of miscommunication from both ends, however, the staff dealt with this in a professional and timely manner. I would hire from this company again and would recommend it to all. The car was great, clean and easy to use. If I could give 10 stars I would.
